Does anyone else love to bowl besides me?

About 15 years ago I used to bowl in two leagues; one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. I moved, got divorced, etc. etc. and just kind of fell out of it even though I love it.

Tonight I went to the bowling alley for the first time in about two years. I went by myself, strictly for my own pleasure.

10 games, 4 beers and $50 later, my highest score was 178 and I joined the Tuesday night womens Moonlighter league.



So who else bowls?

That's too funny! I bowled forever until I was pregnant - that was six years ago. I just went yesterday for the first time since then, I am embarassed to say that I am so sore, but I had 146 and a 138. It was fun, I am glad I went back!

I used to bowl on a league but gave it up in the beginning of my pregnancy. Haven't been back since. Just once in a while bowling with DS. Actually we loved the "Generation Gap" league...parents and kids. Only the time wasn't good.

LOL I've always enjoyed it but it is something I TRULY stink at! LOL

Nikole that's the fun part about this league I joined. A bunch of women doing it for fun - they don't care how good or bad you are.

There were some other all women's leagues - the lady told me one league is so competitive they don't announce any scores less than a perfect game :eek

I bowl on a league on sunday nights. my average is 150..my highest game to date is 205 scratch.

I've been bowling since I was 9 years old. Had one of my most successful seasons last year. Had 3, yep 3, 300 games in a sanctioned league and ended up averaging about 210 for the season. We'll be starting up the Monday after Labor Day.

It's one of the few sports that last a life time. Glad you found it again. Have fun!!

That's cool Jips! That would be my sort of league! LOL I mean I really REALLY stink! Fortunately I'm good at other sports so being as terrible at bowling as I am doesn't hurt my ego tooooo bad! LOL (Let's put it this way........I won the booby prize one New Years Eve!

I love bowling too, Jips, but I lack one thing -- not enough strikes!!
