Bourbon Tasting on the Fantasy

Good morning, has anyone done the Bourbon tasting on the Fantasy. I know that it is often different every time but if any one has can you give an idea on what had been served? Thanks.

It was a while ago, but we did it around 10:30PM and there were 4 brands provided after an excellent lecture. One was Lagavullian, there was a Japanese wisky (I forget the brand name), and two others. Hey, it was late and there was good wisky to be had...

They had Lagavulin at the bourbon tasting? Isn't that scotch whiskey? I signed my DH up for the bourbon tasting on our cruise and he's a big fan of scotch but hit or miss on bourbon, but if they're actually tasting scotch there he'll be very happy!

DH and I have done it twice on the Fantasy. First time was with Ali (who has since left DCL) and we had a bourbon cocktail he created and different 4 bourbons and the second time was with Caroline and we had 4 different bourbons (no starter cocktail). Both of our tastings were done in Meridian.

I do not enjoy bourbon - but did it for DH. We don't remember all the brands offered, but between the two tastings we do remember having Blantons, Larceny, Angels Envy (rye). Sorry, we don't recall what other bourbons were served.

As you said it will vary on what is available.... For example, in 2017 my husband finished the last bottle of Blantons on the Fantasy, and we found out that they didn't get more until mid way through our next cruise a year later when we stopped in Grand Cayman.

we did it earlier this year and it was Angels Envy, Blantons, Woodford, and Whistle Pig I believe. All served neat.

I did this in August on the Fantasy, and it was held in the Cove Cafe. We had Blantons, Woodford, Maker's Mark, and something else. It was underwhelming compared to the rum tasting I had earlier in the cruise, which was much more informative (even though I like bourbon more than rum). Also, rather than working up in quality, we tasted the Blantons early, which made the later ones taste much worse by comparison.
