Bouquet Preservation?

Well one other idea is to use keepsake florals but have them make you their christmas ornament. It is much cheaper and instead of having something big collecting dust you can have an ornament with a flower from your bouquet on your tree every year.

Just a thought. I am thinking about making my moms corsage into an ornament, thats the only reason I thought about it.

Yes you can have them make a bouquet for you. I was going to have my bouquet made up for me when we went to WDW in June, I just emailed Rose and she said it was no problem and it is actually requested more than you think it is. I guess there are a lot of brides out there like us that wait until long after the wedding to preserve their bouquets..lol

I am so going to think about doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhh that's a good idea too!!!!!!!!I really wish I would have lloked more into this back in May.

I would have considered doing something clever with my bouquet, but due to restrictions on bringing floral across the boarder back to Canada I left it in the hotel with a note to mousekeeping saying they could keep it or throw it away as they saw fit. :sad2:

I had to throw what was left of my cake away, too. All on top of leaving Disney. It was a sad day. :sad1:

We used Keepsake as well and loved the finished product. It hangs proudly on our bedroom wall with pictures from our wedding. It's not a shrine to us but is a great memory of a wonderful day in our lives.

This is why I went with silks to begin with. I wanted it to look as good as when I walked down the aisle and didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a preservation. Mine sits in my curio with other wedding momentos and looks perfect with only a slight upgrade from the included escape bouquet charge.

So I'm hoping that I don't fall in love with my bouquet...

Don't worry - if they hand it to you and you're smitten, you can just tell the rep from Disney Floral that you changed your mind, and they'll set the wheels in motion to preserve your bouquet. You won't even have to think about the bill til you get home! :lmao:

Oooooo heck, I so wish I hadnt read that - or should that be 'my future hubby will probably wish I had never read that'

Disney floral didn't handle any part of our preservation - we had to work directly with Keepsake and the hotel. Just an fyi.

Our planner gave us a brochure on preservation with our other things at the end of the wedding, so we could call and set things in motion if we chose to do it. I hated leaving my beautiful boquet behind, but we have WAY too many disney wedding things in our house as it is, and this way DH has to get me lilac roses every APril now!!

I worked with Keepsake on paying deposits, choosing design, etc. but Disney Floral arranged for the pickup of my bouquet from their office after our Magic Kingdom shoot. I guess it depends on when/where you want it picked up

I have already sent in my deposit to keepsake floral, and that is what they are doing for me. Disney floral will pick up my bouquet after our Magic Kingdom shoot and keep them until Keepsake picks them up!
