Good morning everyone...this is our first post on the TA page. I just joined the forum the other day and posted a couple of times on the med cruise. I have two cabins for this cruise; my dw and I in one and our Preacher and his wife in the other.

Welcome:yay:Bringing your Preacher is convenient. I've been thinking that maybe this cruise I would get to Sunday services aboard ship. I have friends who always go and it sounds interesting. Never thought to bring my minister with me...

When you are at the adult beach bbq don't forget that they are cooking steaks to order at the last stop in the buffet. I didn't see that and had my plate too full already. Of course I ate the steak anyway.:hippie:

Will do!

This may be same map Lauren posted. Well, yeah, same map; I mean same link.

If you are the first off the ship, it's sort of like seeing a small town come alive in the morning; people heading out to duty stations, getting things set up for the cruisers. The concessionaires arrive from Abaco Cay via boat to guide us out on wave runners, fishing boats, catamarans, parasailing......

Happy planning,
Lynne

Thanks so much Lynne! All of this info is great & saves me a bunch of planning time! Awesome! :cheer2:

OBOBBER ... and anyone else planning on a visit to Lancaster County ... MAKE SURE you visit Greco's HOMEMADE Icre Cream & HOMEMADE Italian Ices. Two locations ...
49 N Broad St, Lititz, (717) 625-1166 ... as well as 119 E Main St, Ephrata, (717) 733-7773.

The Lititz location in in the center of town, across from Wilbur Chocolate Factory (small store in the back/left of the parking lot). The Ephrata loction is in the center of town, across the street from the movie theatre.

Lititz is open NOW ... but I think Ephrata will be opening in 2 weeks or so. They also will open up outside location within the Tanger Outlets early to mid May and will have that location open through Christmas weather permitting. They also participate in the 4th of July festival located at Long's Park.

I've known the owners (Mike & Jamie) for 20-25 years. I usually make the 75-80 mile trek (each way) about 2-3 times per month. Their products are amazing!

:rotfl: ... police are still not sure...but a suspect was named who may have started the facebook, twitter, disboard campaign.... a well known trouble maker who stirs the pot and quietly points the other way.... SDlong!:rolleyes1 Check the 11 PM news for more info :cool1::rotfl2:
WASN'T ME! It must have been SOME OTHER SDLong! :lmao:

Great pics Brack :thumbsup2

I took two of my little sisters to see Alice in Wonderland today. I really liked it and am hoping they have it in 3D on the ship(even though it doesn't look that way) although if my aunt wanted to see it I'd go again even in 2D.

It should be! :3dglasses They do first run movies onboard.

Welcome aboard!

Hope to get to know more about you all between now and the cruise. My wife and I are ministers also. We look forward to meeting yours as well.

Oh, you mean it was Donna!?!
--Must have been! Donna is KNOWN for stirring the trouble pot!

That would be handy if anyone wanted a vow-renewal ceremony.
--I don't understand why DCL mandates a separate $2,500 package for vow renewals! We've had vow renewals on Holland America (few hundred dollars). For $2,500 ... I'd rather book another cruise!

So, are you home? Aaron?

Sorry - yes we came home yesterday - his bite seems to be getting better - still watching it - but at home.

Got some really cute silver high heels the other day at Macy's I'm looking forward to wearing them with some of my dresses princess:

Just a few more weeks :yay:

I read a Trip Report from someone just back from the Magic and they said Alice was in 3D

 I just called DCL because it occurred to me that I had luggage tags for the cruise but not an ID to get me on the transportation. So I thought I would call about this and see if we would definitely be checking in at the airport and getting it there. This CM tells me that since me airfare involves Barcelona I need to pick up my luggage at MCO and take it with me to the ship. I understand that I will be doing that in Barcelona but she definitely told me to put the cruise tags on at home but pick up the luggage in MCO.:confused3 I am really confused but I think maybe she was more so. I guess I'll call back tomorrow. That's what you do when you get an answer you don't like, right? Call until you get an answer that you do like.

I was at target last night and they had in the boys department polo's with anchors and pirate skull bones thingy - the shirt is white - so guess what Aaron is wearing for priate night! He is not totally thrilled but I told him he could wear it or not come on the cruise! I thought it was that cool :)

I'll do it for a "skinny latte" :thumbsup2 .... as long as I can wear my shorts and sandals. :beach:

Poor Aaron - first a bug bite now Mom is choosing what he will be wearing on Pirate night. :goodvibes

He does know that he won't be out of place wearing it doesn't he? And he doesn't have to wear it to school at all - right?

I was at Walmart yesterday and saw some cute summer type sleepwear. the shorts either have shells (mint green) or seahorses (blue). The tops are plain, but match the color for the shorts.

I also bought my tiara - haven't really tried it on yet. I did buy some travel size stuff (toothpaste, etc) so I don't have to bring larger containers. Now to decide on clothing. UGH!

CRUISE DOCUMENTS

I was :surfweb: working on my Online Check-In and came across the Disney Cruise Line Contract and remembered that the last time I cruised (October 2008), I thought i would save paper and print this front & back.

But NO! The CM checking me in had to go and make a copy so that it was only on the front of pages.

You might want to save a step and a minute or two at the port and print the 2 pages of your Disney Cruise Line Contract on separate sheets.

Lynne,
Do you need to print a copy of your Cruise Contract and bring it to the terminal? I don't ever remember doing that-- we just fill out everything in our "hard" documents (and online) and the CM at the terminal just rips out what she needs... Has something changed?

Really? CC gets planned? ...Get off the boat; do the $$ water activity (parasailing or jetski), eat some lunch, play in the water, get back on the boat - okay, there's my plan.

Sounds good to me!! :goodvibes

...I guess I'll call back tomorrow. That's what you do when you get an answer you don't like, right? Call until you get an answer that you do like.

That is actually ALWAYS a good idea. have you noticed the answers often change? lol
:lmao:

The documents booklet is still a way to do it & is a back-up and will work too, as I understand it.

I thought you needed to supply the immigration info ahead of time though (in the cruise plans section, online check-in), so may as well print out the boarding pass, is how we look at it. :thumbsup2
