Is that Friday the 9th? If so, Pam and I will each be arriving around that time and wandering aimlessly waiting for Monica to pick us up! Maybe I should be wearing DIS green on my travel day too!

Yup, Friday the 9th...Maybe I'll wear my CafePress shirt...It also happens to be Lime(ish) green...And has the logo on the front...

I received a call a few minutes ago that my cousin David (who has been battling cancer for a few years) has been admitted to Yale. Apparently, it has spread quite badly and they aren't even moving him to Hospice care at this point. My heart is breaking for him and his family. He is only 42 years old and has 4 young sons under the age of 8. They are not very optimistic that he will pull through. It is just so sad.

 I'm sorry. I'll keep you and your cousin in my thoughts.

Hi Pat. You certainly have my prayers and best wishes for you and all your family. What a hard time for you all, especially his young wife and sons. God bless,

Oh Dishy, I am so sorry. Sending out prayers of comfort and peace for David and your family.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to pop on to say that my Grandmother passed away last night after a very quick but peaceful few days in hospice care. Her family was around her, in her home.

Thanks you for all your prayers, well wishes and caring messages. It means a lot to me to be able to share this difficult situation with you.

Blessings and prayers Lauren.

That's Carla's flight! Now we REALLY have to get together before the cruise! I'll be meeting all of you at the airport, I guess...barring any flight delays, my flight gets in at 4:30, about 45 minutes before yours. I told Carla I'll meet her at the gate :)

Cool! My mom will be arriving about an hour earlier than our flight from LAX. I should order her a Cafepress shirt. ha! She'll wonder who all these people are coming up to her and saying hello!:thumbsup2

My printer is jamming when I try to run my magnetic sheets from Staples through. Frustrating!! Glad I didn't order the big batch from ebay. I may not be able to print out. Is anyone else having the same problem? Plus, I noticed that 3 out of 4 of my magnetic sheets look a bit yellow?

I decided to see what the $158 pp/d upgrade on the Med cruise would get me (besides a bigger credit card bill). I chose Modify to the Cat they were offering (OV), then saw Upgrade to Verandah for $48 pp/d - wow, no more OVs available, what a great deal. Then I looked at the top of the page where the price was - $8k - so it was $158 + $48 - the higher Cat wasn't cheaper than the lower, afterall.

That would explain it. I've got to settle in my mind that I've gotten all the pixy dust i'm getting, 12gty to cat11. That's it.

Some printers can adjust for thicker paper ... does yours?

In an hour and a half my flight leaves for FLORIDA!!!!:woohoo::rotfl::cool1:three weeks from now ;):cheer2:

Again, I fell for that - like when our fellow cruiser got upgraded to the Walt Disney Suite.

I went to my reservation the other night and didn't see any upgrade offer. It did say that I couldn't modify my reservation. Is that because I used a TA? ... Kristi

I can't modify this ressie (but can the Med one); and my reservation was through DCL.

Last cruise, I killed 2 printers doing magnets with paper I ordered from eBay - didn't turn out to be such a bargain afterall. The feed aspect of the printer was shot. But it wasn't from Staples - it was a thicker mil.

So sorry for the recent loss of some and difficult times to come for others. I am gradually recovering from my Mom's death the day before Thanksgiving, so I understand. Hospice care, even in the hospital, makes such a difference for the dying and the family, doesn't it.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: To both of you and your families.

Anyway, I will be hanging out (hiding) in Outlook Bar, behind the bullet proof glass. popcorn:: I think Terry is supposed to join me in "judging" the Cougars, since we overlook Quiet Cove. I'm making plenty of score cards with "10" on them. Feel free to join us! pirate:

Only as long as they open the bar. I'm not standing up there without something to drink. (Hot Coffee will probably work) Though I love the Tawny Port

:rotfl:

Three weeks from this minute, we will be all checked in at the Hotel in Orlando, finding some dinner and getting ready to head to the port in the morning! So exciting. Spanish phrase book, Michelin Portugal/Madeira guide, and Rick Steves snapshop Barcelona guide came in today's mail. I know what I am doing this weekend.

Kristi

I would think so. :confused3

OK, here and now, in front of all of you I am committing to doing my taxes this weekend and buying new sneakers. Got to have time for the e-file to process and the shoes to get broken in!

As a matter of fact, think I'll shop for shoes right now...the heck with work! :scared1: (actually our GM came by and said we could leave early...bless his heart)

:cool1: I was happy to read that he had a nice time on the Wonder. All those posts about people being disappointed in the Wonder had me nervous about getting a group together to go in her in 2011.

Don't let people worry you.

We were on the Wonder in February for the first time ever, and again in September for a bounceback. I wouldn't choose to do it again, just because I don't like short cruises. There was nothing wrong with the ship or the CMs. The problem was with the guests, especially on the 3 night cruise. They were lost, driving themselves crazy because they were afraid that they might miss something, and thought rules applied to everyone except them. Seriously--kid in stroller in Cove Cafe. Yup, inside. Obnoxious drunken man behind us in theater being loud and rude (my friend finally spoke to him in his own language and he shut up for a while). 6 year old in Quiet Cove pool. No, I'm not mistaken and he was not a small 18 year old. Mommy suggested that he swim there because it was so much less crowded than "that other pool."

Sorry, but I've never seen this level of rudeness or blatant disregard of rules on the Magic.
