Has anyone purchased money for Gibraltar? We got our euros but the bank had no access to pound sterling.

I believe that Euros are an acceptable currency in Gibraltar as far as I could tell from all I have read.

Okay, so I am assuming there are about 4,000 - 5,000 DCL cruisers who have had the ability to cram into the perspective Walt Disney Theatres, for a midnight prem-EAR of ALICE IN WONDERLAND!?

Hope to see this one the ship. Just finished watching Johnny Depp in Sleepy Hollow (TBS) a few hours ago. Great movie ... I keep learning more each time I watch the movie.

My 14yr old DS was VERY distressed that we weren't standing in line at 12am to see this. That was our plan BEFORE a Transatlantic cruise (poor thing ).
I called DCL and the very sweet CM said she believed they WOULD have it in 3D by the time we sailed.

You will have to let me know....I have been contemplating Tink on my ankle for a while now

I don't know if my DS (or myself) will wait till the cruise to see Alice in Wonderland ...we have a great IMAX theatre and may need to just see it twice..one here, once on ship.
One wish...I wish they had a REAL popcorn machine onboard.....Movie popcorn is a significant part of my viewing pleasure and I found the prepackages stuff to be far from good...

Thanks, that is what I was thinking but wanted to make sure I was not missing something else. The rates seem to be getting better and better in my favor every day so I figure if I wait it will be 6 of one half dozen of the other. I would also rather not be traveling with all the cash. I would rather DCL hold it on my shipboard account and I can "cash it out" when needed.

Purex sheets - I have been using them for over a year I think and I personally have not had any quality issues. Your milage may vary

Just so I understand correctly, if we want to do laundry on the ship, we need to bring our own soap?

If we want cups or toddler forks/spoons washed, we need to bring our own dish soap?

You can buy detergent and softener on the ship...$1 each per load.

I am hoping for Alice in Wonderland too since we are holding off seeing movies to save money for this cruise but the one we are really hoping to see onboard is Oceans. It is coming out right before we sail and how aprapo (sp?) to see it while we are out on the Ocean.

My college girls use the Purex sheets and have no problem either. That and a color guard sheet and everything goes in the same load, no sorting.

No the oldest is not mine but everyone says the same thing. They really all could be sisters. It is too cute!

If you guys want really good popcorn, you need to go to this place here in Orlando called Kernel Oncore on 50 by Downtown Orlando. They have over 180 different flavors of popcorn. My husband is a popcorn fanatic and absolutely loves this place.

Now if you guys can figure out how to get a real popcorn machine on board, my husband will be the first to line up!!!And no one else will get any!
