True... But if I have more leftover than I want to leave for tips, I have to get them "reexchanged" somewhere. Might as well pay off some of my expenses. :goodvibes I'm having a hard time deciding how much money/euros I want to bring. I don't really want to spend a lot. I have that bad habit of thinking money burns holes in my pocket. If I have it, I'll spend it. :sad2:

As I travel overseas about every other year or so, I just keep what I have left over. I currently have about 40 Euro and about 5 pound sterling. I also have 5 in New Zealand dollars from 2008. I paid the commission once, I'm not paying it twice.

I'm going to have to second this. I have never had any luck at all with these sheets but I have ruined several dark pieces of clothing. :headache:

I also find the "grease like" spots when using dryer sheets sometimes as well.

I will admit no one in our home wears light colors or even much in the way of whites (at least that anyone would see:rolleyes1)except my DD4 who is so small her clothes are pretty tiny and she ruins them as much as any detergent could:rotfl:

So the sheets are probably fine for lighter colors as the spots don't show up as much. DO try pretreating and rewashing 3x over and some of those spots will come out. . .if the piece of clothing is worth it to you I mean:rolleyes:

I just plan on using the $1 tide plus $2 washer and $2 dryer and calling it a vacation expense. I have so much to pack as it is. I guess I risk the laundry rooms running out of detergent but I think I will risk it.

Check at Walmart, Target etc. that carries travel sizes of stuff. I know for a fact that Tide has a one load packet for about $1. That's what I plan on getting. I'll also bring my own dryer sheets in a ziploc bag.

Had another pervert in the library last night. Glad I didn't have to see "it". What is with people?

also had a lady the other day ask for the name of the city. :confused3

Is it cruise time yet?

Because I am now hesitant to use the Purex 3 in 1 and bringing white powder in little baggies may be a problem at US customs ;), I sent my Mother on a mission to find me a solution. She found something called Laundry Dropps at Walmart. They are little disolving packets of laundry soap (like what they have for dishwashers). They seem to be packed very well in a compact, ziplock type bag and are he compatible. I'll still need dryer sheets but I think this is a great alternative.

I also found some small disolving soap papers for hand washing. The package looks like dental floss and each sheet is approx 1 inch square. I found these at Zellers and are their own store brand.

Same offer applies here. We're "kind of" local, but we're driving to the port on Friday, staying at the Residence Inn. Happy to pick up some items as well for those flying in or for those out of the country.

-Steve (who didn't get his cruise docs in the mail today..)

I got mine by FedEx not in the mail. :thumbsup2 Maybe only Canadian's get them via FedEx and the rest of you have to wait for the snail mail. :teeth:

A while back someone posted an item about going to the fountain to see the show in Barcelona but that it was not as short of a walk as they thought. Is someone organizing any kind o f transportation to it:? If so please let me know. We would probably be interested in joining a group.

I see where some people got their travel docs. We got nothing yet and our room is still the same.

I bought a box of the purex 3in1 and then the posts came out and how some people had problems with it. I'm not going to use my box, so.... if anyone wants the box..... let me know.

In the last thread, someone mentioned "cougar tag". Sounds interesting.... Someone said the cougar queen would give the rules. So, what are the rules and who is the cougar queen?
