August plan change! Looks like CSR is now having movie nights on select nights. So adding movie night to either Friday Aug 26 or to Mon Aug 29! If we do movie night Aug 26, and we still have energy left, then we will head to MK for EHM til 1am.

So Aug 26th is lining up...

Breakfast at Captain's Grille

Check-in

If the room is ready we will get things settled, swim, then take a nap.

If the room is not ready we will either head to DTD, a park, or get a locker and swim until it is ready.

We'll grab a light, late lunch. And supper at the Pepper Market!!

I love the ocean and beach pics...you know I'm such a sucker for beach pics!! I absolutely love the pic of both boys looking thru the feeder boxes - that is too cute!

Anakin is way too cute in his pirate hat!

The color change stuff is very cool - Eliza would go nuts for color changing nail polish!

Thanks! It makes them look like they always get along...I wish!! He loves hats. But his favorite of the road trip was the BK hat. He even wore that hat to Macaroni Grill!

There is a Del Sol shop in Ohio, but it's at Put-in-Bay. So I know it's not too convenient to get to.

On Tuesday we went to Epcot after Anakin's orthodontist appointment. (This was the 3rd different opinion that he needs braces at such a young age. He gets them in Aug, just before the trip.) Sounds like a great project for Anakin this summer! I would love to do a countdown calendar. I am thinking of changing my trip reveal plans to do a countdown advent calendar instead since it looks more and more like we will be taking an early morning flight on Christmas morning!

I'm really excited about it!! I wanted to watch the movie at the pool each time we stayed at SSR and it didn't work out. Hopefully this time it will at CSR. I'm shooting for the first night, if they keep the same schedule.

FUN PICS!!!! The zip line is right down David's interest level, he would have SO wanted to do that! He also wants to go fishing with you all, another love of his. There is a fish camp near Disney, East Lake Fish Camp. Maybe something can be worked out on Goofy's day off to take Grumpy and David fishing. There is boat rental, but I think it's a 3 person max per boat. Would Christian feel slighted?

I am suffering from sticker shock!! I called to get prices for Cape May Cafe for dinner and 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. I was told that Cape May Cafe will be $42.59 and adult and $20.23 for a child. Wow!!

1900 Park Fare wasn't too bad, $26.62 an adult and $14.90 for a child.

After talking it over with Goofy, I am going to cancel 1900 Park Fare and we will work on autographs in the park for Anakin. I will not be making an ADR for Cape May Cafe either. There are plenty of other sit down restaurants we can go to for less than that, or drive off property to eat.

wow didn't realize Cape May was so spendy .... the only thing is finding Mary, Alice and the Mad Hatter in the parks, but since you go so often I'm sure you'll find them at some point!

I just cancelled our ADR for 1900 Park Fare.

Now I am trying to decide if I want to book a resie at Sea World for the Shark's Underwater Grill or our favorite Coral Reef?

We've never eaten at this Sea World restaurant. I checked out the menu when we were there last. And the prices seemed less than those of the Coral Reef. The food choices seemed ok.

I cancelled the 1900 Park Fare. Grumpy and Anakin were not in favor of eating another breakfast. Both were in favor of Biergarten for lunch instead. As mommy2mrb mentioned before, we will probably find the characters around the parks at some time.

The most important thing for August is making sure we have plenty of play time at the Dig Site. More than likely we will score a microwave at CSR, so I can always bring stuff from home to re-heat. If not, I usually bring an electric fry pan to make grilled cheese for Anakin.

Goofy has limited me to one meal out a day. I have that one meal planned for each day except check out. He did the same before, and we ended up getting food at the Pepper Market, or fast food at Cross Roads.

So August ADRs are lining up to look like:

Day 1: Captain's Grille for breakfast

Day 2: Le Cellier for lunch

Day 3: Biergarten for lunch

Day 4: ?

Yikes...sticker shock you are right! I am budgeting $2000 for food alone for our Christmas blow out trip! We have a kitchen in BWV... But I just don't see a lot of time cooking...thinking of using garden grocer for some portable breakast and snack items!

I responded to you, but I don't see my response! I am wondering if they didn't quote me the holiday price since I called on July 4th? They did ask when my stay was, and I said for Aug though.

We often see one of those characters at the Tea Party attraction, or at UK. We usually don't have the autograph book with us and Anakin doesn't want to stop then.

I did not see your response 'til this morning. Sorry. That's understandable. The cost is quite a bit. We decided we'd rather have more night stays than eat character meals. Grumpy has had alot of character meals in his childhood, but Anakin has only had 2 and he was an infant the one and a toddler the other, and doesn't remember them.

They may have quoted me the holiday rate. Disney charges more for food during holiday times.

When we stayed at CSR in March, we used the microwave every morning to make bacon. Also used it to re-heat left overs from the Pepper Market. When we stay at a DVC property, we usually try to eat only 1 meal out. Usually lunch, since it's cheaper. Last summer when we stayed at SSR, we made a run to the Walmart on Turkey Lake road and did a quick grocery run. We ended up not eating all we bought. But it was nice to have a quick snack in the room since we didn't like the selection of food at their food court.
