Bouncing on Bounce Backs (Update Pg 20 post 299)

Today I got Mickey Mail!! Those monorail looking envelopes with Disney info in them. This time they didn't come with maps. Usually they come with a map of all parks. I sent out the maps I received for our March and May stays. I was hoping to get two more to give away since they are so nice and convenient to just carry one map.

Today was a the start of a great sale at the Bath and Body shop. I stocked up on a bunch of shower gel and antibacterial soaps! $1.25 for several scents of the antibacterial soap. Mostly everything I got was $3 or under!! Plus I had a coupon for $10 off!!

I am so paranoid walking out our front door. There was a snake yesterday in the shrub right as we walked out. YIKES!! It was just a racer, but it freaked me out! DH put moth balls around our walk way so now it smells like a Grandma's house. I don't know if it will keep them away or not.

One of the keepers at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine said the best way to keep a snake away is to walk heavy. So we were stomping to and from the car today. I can just imagine what the neighbors and people driving by thought!!

Glad you got some great deals and some Mickey Mail! Sorry there was no maps. I've never gotten maps in my MM.

Sorry to hear about the snake. I'd be freaked out as well! And I can totally picture you stomping up and down your pathway. I even see you saying something like "Pretend you're stomping ants" to Anakin. :lmao::rotfl2:

YAY for Mickey Mail!!! Those little monorail envelopes are just the most exciting things to get!

Yikes on the snake! I am cracking up at the stomping to the car - I would totally be doing the same thing. I always figure my neighbors get a kick out our nutiness anyway. :)

I made an ADR for August for 1900PF! That brings me up to 3 ADRS, Captain's Grille, Le Cellier and 1900PF!

So that's 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch, it's a start.

Is Captain's 1 credit or 2 at breakfast? its signature, right?

i love that soap!

I think i'd walk around banging a shovel on the ground. snakes. blech!

I am hungry, so I am thinking about ADRs debating if I want to try everything new, or just add a new one here or there??

I know we will want to eat at the Pepper Market for fajitas and then Cafe Rix for gelato.

DH will want The Plaza Restaurant.

I could really go for onion rings with dips at the Turf Club!! But only Anakin likes eating there. Goofy and Grumpy don't care for there at all.

We haven't eaten at Ohana since 2006-ish.

Anakin wants to do a character meal, but he wants Star Wars characters and there is no meal with them, lol. So he asked if there is a meal with Rapunzel? He doesn't want a character that doesn't talk, he thinks that is weird, because he doesn't understand their hands or bobbing heads. So where does that leave me?

i meal with Rapunzel would be a must do here!
did you see this? i wonder if it will make it to tv?

Rapunzel to recieve coronation ceremony

I got 2 ADRs made for August!!

Third times the charm for Le Cellier, I hope!!!! Twice I had to cancel ADRs. I've always wanted to eat here.

Now for the important questions for those who have eaten here before. Are there any types of stimulation I need to be aware of for Anakin. Is it dark in there? Are candles on the table? Is it loud? Are tables close together? Anything else I need to know for him?

For Grumpy, I made an ADR for breakfast at the Captain's Grille, his favorite!!

it was somewhat dim in le cellier, at least dim enough to give me trouble with pictures. it seems that maybe there was one of those fake candles on the table?

It has been years since we went to MNSSHP. It was years ago and we went with littlebelle1997 and her dh. Anakin was a baby and slept through the whole thing (up until the Grave diggers in the parade), Grumpy enjoyed it and got a sugar high, and Goofy had to work so he didn't go with us. Goofy's last MNSSHP was in 2003 when I was pregnant with Anakin. And I don't think they had the gravedigger part of the Halloween parade then.

I am giving MNSSHP serious consideration for our Sept trip!

The Pros:

-We won't have to drive all the way home since we are staying on site!!
-We've loved it in past years!

The Cons:
-the expense
-Anakin's fear of fireworks (but now we have ear muffs)
-Anakin can't eat candy, Grumpy is allergic to many candies

Should we get MNSSHP tickets or not?

Do you think with crowd levels expected to be a 1 that day, that we could get tickets at the door?

I'm not sure about crowd levels, but i say go for it. when we last went we only stopped at maybe one trick or treat stand. and we still ran out of time with all the things to do.

Lol! Anakin has known the snake stomp for almost a year. But I can just imagine how silly we look, because I know how silly I feel. If there is even a slight chance the snake stomp will work, then it's worth a try!

I love getting mail when it isn't a bill! I do love the little pamphlet thing that arrived! The one said about celebrating our wedding anniversary. It will be 20 years in August!! The other said welcome back.

We use Tables in Wonderland and get 20% off food and beverages, so I don't know about credits, sorry.

I did not see that! Thanks!

I'm sure we'll be to Epcot before our ADR, I will make sure to pop my head inside and take a look around.

I think we will go for it, if there are tickets still available the same day.

I was digging through pictures at my parent's house the other day. I came across a picture from the last time our family went to MNSSHP together. I was pregant with Anakin. So it was Oct '03 we all went. Grumpy and I went one time since then, but it wasn't recently.

I am FINALLY all caught up again! Looking forward to tonight! Lisa was disappointed when I told her you weren't moving here! She thought when I told her last night you were coming to Charlotte, you were staying. She got up so excited about it this morning, she thought she and JJ would be fast friends and could plan some things to do this summer! (I had shown her all of the pictures on the TR last night before I took Christian for the sleep study). I hope your travels are going well! :goodvibes:goodvibes

It was wonderful meeting you and your family!! Charlotte is beautiful! I'm sorry to disappoint Lisa. (But I think we have grown accostumed to being a hop, skip and a jump away from WDW. It would be difficult to move again.) She and Anakin really did become quick friends! He really loved getting to meet Lisa and Rachel. He never saw hair as long as theirs and he was very fascinated by it. He did sneak one of those Hershey kisses. We found a wrapper in the bathroom. What a sneak!!

I will be so glad when we are back home. I think we have all had enough driving!!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We have been on a 2500+ mile journey up and down the eastern US. We are on the final leg of it now. I greet you from beautiful St. Augustine! Goofy and Grumpy are fishing, Anakin is still sleeping and I am catching up on the DIS!

You would think with all these hours on the car, I would have all my plans in order. Instead I spent the time mostly looking out the window or entertaining Anakin. Poor Goofy drove the entire time.

Today we plan to visit the Alligator Farm and shop on St. George street.

Our travels have taken us to Santee, SC; Prince George, VA; Hershey, PA; Cleveland, OH; Charlotte, NC; and now St. Augustine. This is our final destination before heading home.

I'll post some pics later. We found some great places to stay on I-95 and I-77 for those who drive to and from Disney.

It's really hard to find a nice, clean motel, in a safe area, that is smoke-free and pet free. With all our allergies those requirements are a must. Most motels are pet-friendly or have smoking on one of the floors.

The only trip planning I did was for September.

Friday will have a plan A and a plan B. Plan A includes MNSSHP. Plan B includes EMH at Epcot. Either plan has us at MK on Friday before MNSSHP. In the past, I've found those days, especially early on in the day the park is relatively empty. It seem most people stay away from the parks with shortened hours.

For August, we plan to spend most of our time at CSR, especially at the Dig Site!!

Once we get home, I will get back to trip planning.

Sounds like a great trip you are on...be safe the last leg of it!

have fun on the rest of your trip!

Thanks! I am both happy and sad to arrive home tomorrow.

We are having a great time in St. Augustine! This is our last day here. Anakin is slowly waking up. Goofy and Grumpy are fishing again. I am just taking it easy.

Our plan for today is to hit the beach, pool, historic St. George St. shopping, and eat at Santa Maria Restaurant, http://www.santamariarestaurant.com/

I am hoping to go off St. George St and make a trip into Del Sol. I want to get some of that nail polish that changes color in the sun. I'm sad that my favorite Vera Bradley store closed. No wonder I got great bargains last summer there.

Goofy wants to get dessert at Kilwins. I called yesterday to see how late they are opened, and was told 11pm. So we will have plenty of time to get there.

Grumpy wants to fish all day, but that isn't going to happen.

Did any of you see Disney's My babysitter is a Vampire last night? Anakin wanted to watch it so badly. I thought it was a once and done thing, but see it will now be a series.

LOVED meeting you all Tink...more in a bit, I have to feed the troops, then another A/C guy is coming and we are expecting bad storms in the next few minutes....

I hope the storms aren't too bad. You sure get hit hard in Charlotte! Hope you keep electricity this time and that the AC guy brings a reasonable price your way!
