I have a feeling they may try to get you to book during the same rate season. GOOD LUCK!

I assume it is a lot for TA's, and all of this happening on a Friday to boot..Maybe they had no prior knowledge..I just hope it all works out for you and anyone else in this dilemna..

As per most of the posts on this board when this was announced, no one had any prior info on this being offered so I am assuming that the TA's didn't know either. I didn't have a cruise booked for that time but I emailed my TA with questions on it and asked if they had any prior knowledge and they didn't until the day before it was announced. This was a complete surprise for everyone. I don't know about other TA's and how far in advance they knew about it but I would bet that is was within a few days of when it was announced

That is the date my travel agent said that DCL offered and I jumped on it. I think it's the only four night offered in September and that works for us. As far as I know, it's the same rate, and it's a holiday weekend. It's nice that my kids don't lose as many days of school (not that THEY are happy with that LOL).

DCL has offered us the same rooms at the same price on September 3 2006! Naturally, I took it!

Hi Folks

What we are being told is the rate at which you booked your cruise (i.e. the original tier pricing booked) will be 'protected' for any other cruise in value season - since that is the season of the original sailings. Of course you have to book the same cruise/package type to get the same rate (i.e. 3-Night to 3-Night).

Unfortunately the available sailings are limited since several of the value season cruises were affected by this change.

No additional 'compensation' is being offered by DCL at this time.

Hi! All,
I spoke to DCL. At first they wanted us to pay $65.00 more dollars for Halloween because it wasn't quite a value week. I told them no way. Then it was ok we'll do it. Then I told them what about my Secret port hole rooms. She said there were none. So I told her someone else said DCL bumped the people in the SPHR's She came back and said ok I can do that. I asked why they would give those people the upgrade when we were the ones inconvinced, Why not just give us the upgrade. So that is how it ended. We got halloween and cat.9's for the same price. I guess they are told to give as little as possible. I would guess you could get more if you really tried but I felt that made us even and didn't try for more. Good Luck everyone still trying. Oh Ya they had to ask my TA if it was ok to talk to me.
