Bounceback?

Hi, really random question, just been reading a few posts and have seen people talking about 'bounceback' - can anyone tell me what that means.

If you stayed on property last year (I think in December) you had the opprotunity to book this year's vacation at a discount (free dining I think).

Heard that they are offering bounceback for stays this year until the end of Sept. My question is:
My brother is going this month. Can he book a room for me with this bounceback offer for next year? He is not going to be going next year but I am.

Bounceback refers to IF you already are staying at DISNEY and they offer up something like, i.e., free dining, to get you to come back next year and stay again! A little extra incentive, like any of us need another reason to come back! That is awesome! It is not a code or anything, it is an offer if you are staying now through the en dof Sept...that is what the current offer is...you have to book next year's vacation while you are in the resort and leave a $200 deposit before your vacation ends. Does that help any?

Well that is interesting. We will be arriving at the AKL on the 22nd of this month. Is it anytime during 2008 at any resort? How is it being offered? I know they did this a few years ago and they put a notice on your door.

No. It is valid for packages starting between August 30, 2008 and September 27, 2008 and includes the basic dining plan free, or the Deluxe plan at a discount.

Bounceback Free Dining Promotion
This offer is available ONLY to guests staying at one of the official Walt Disney World resorts between 8/31/07-9/28/07.

Using a special phone number provided on some resort restaurant receipts or on a flyer provided in some resort rooms, you can book a vacation package for next year, for stays between 8/30/08-9/27/08, at a Walt Disney World resort with theme park tickets and receive the Dining Plan for FREE.

If you don't get the offer on a receipt or a flyer in your room, I recommend asking at the front desk.

There is a 3-night minimum stay requirement. Reservation for 2008 must be made before you check out and no later than September 28 to qualify. A $200 deposit is required at time of reservation.

so do you just go to Disney website and get a quote for the dates you want and take off the dining portion to get an idea of your $????

we arrive at poly on 27th so I need to do some legwork prior to leaving so I can ask about it at front desk or call.

Hi spiceycat, mousesavers doesn't mention which category, but I have been reading lots of posts from DISers who have just returned from WDW and have booked the 2008 free dining in values, like this post over on the Dining thread. Oh, and another mentioned the extension phone number to call from your room is ext 8844 :

I will make this short and I apologize if this has already been posted. We literally just got home less than 1 hour ago and I wanted to share this exciting news about FREE dining for 2008.

We just spent 10 glorious nights enjoying free dining.

When we got back to our room at Pop on Fri. Aug. 31 a shiny, glossy sheet was on our table annoucing FREE dining for 2008!!! It is a bounce back offer again - meaning for those staying NOW at WDW (from Aug. 31-Sept. 28), you can book FREE dining for 2008 while you're at WDW.

This offer is only good if booked while you're staying at WDW now. You had to call from your current stay and they do verify that you're staying on property when booking.

We booked a trip for dh and I alone (NO kids) for next Sept. to celebrate my 40th birthday.

The offer is good for stays from Aug. 30-Sept. 27, 2008 (much more limited than past free dining offers).

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer what I can and YES, I will be posting a dining report with TONS of pictures soon.

We had another fabulous trip and ate SOOOOOO much delicious food, but we are exhausted and we all go back to work and school in less than 12 hours ... so I must close, but I just wanted to share this exciting news if it hasn't been posted yet.

We were able to book the ASMo from 9/24 thru 10/1 with free dining. So I guess if your start your stay before 9/27, you get the free dining for your entire stay.

I just got back and got POFQ for 9/5-9/9 next year. The paper I got had mods and deluxe on it, but I was able to get ASM if I wanted to. Decided to go with POFQ because I have never stayed there. And it was only $250 more. Why not right! And this was not advertised at SSR I has to ask and then they looked it up. They gave me the paper after I asked about it.

Based on years of experience and the recent promotions

If you check in on the last day the promotion is available - in this case 9/27/08 - you get the promotion for the length of your stay or ten nights, whichever comes first BUT! Remember that the new pricing structure goes into effect next year. Using the Values as an example: Value Season runs through 10/1; Regular Season starts 10/2. You'd be paying $82 per night for the first five nights, then your room rate will jump to $99 per night.

As for the promotion only applying to Moderate and Deluxe resorts - that's the UK promotion, and that could VERY likely be a restriction set by the Travel Agent/s, not by Disney. It may not be financially feasible for them to book these packages at Value resorts, or they may just be doing it to increase their base commission. I don't know. But, as the above example indicates, the BounceBack promotion does seem to be available at all levels for those of us going this month!

We check in on the 28th of sept the last day of the offer. Do you think we will still be able to get the offer for next year by checking in the last day? Anyone done that in the past by any chance?
