bounceback rates

Does anyone know if when booking bounceback rates, you qualify for the DDP?

Not the free dining bounceback, but the discounted room rates. We booked a stay while at WDW in March. We weren't considering the DDP at the time, but are now looking at it. I'm not sure if our rate allows it though.

I tried to call this afternoon, but was stuck on hold for a while and gave up.

Any thoughts?

Yes. You can't combine discounts, but if there's a bounceback rate with different conditions - such as what you're asking, a discounted room rate - there should also be packages available under the same conditions.

If you can apply the rate to a package booking, then yes.

If the rate is applicable only to a room-only reservation, then no.

You'd have to ask WDW if you can apply the rate to a package.

I tried to add the dining plan to my bounceback rate. I then I to purchase at least a 1 day pass for each member of our party (even though we have annual passes). So if you also need passes, it will work for you; but it didn't for us.

I am now waiting for the annual passholder rates to come out for December so that I can do it that way.

If you don't have an annual pass, you have to book a room/tickets package.

If you have an annual you can book a room/dining package without tickets. But if you want a discount on that, you have to wait until AP rates are released for your dates.

Does everyone receive a bounceback offer?

Another words, is there a particular time of year that the bounceback rates are offered to guests? For guests traveling this summer, will bounceback rates be offered? Is it 30% off? Would the rate you think apply to next summer received one this summer? Is the offer in your room?

You must book one by the time you leave Disney, correct? Is it the standard $200 refundable up until 45 days?

If someone gets the bounceback offer of 30% and is planning to travel last week of Aug, then the free dining comes out for the last week of August can the free dining be used or is it free dining OR bounceback?

jerseygal: the offer was in our room in March. We knew we were coming back in Aug, (DVC) so we decided to add a couple of nights to our trip. You needed to book while staying on site.

The rates are the best for out timeframe-we're DVC, AP, AAA etc. That rate beat the others. No, I checked and could not combine DD with the rate.

I'm not sure if they are offering a bounceback rate in the room right now. I would suggest posting on the resort boards.
