Bounceback Questions

Never done a bounceback offer before, so I have a couple questions.

1. Is a bounceback offer always a room discount, or will they tell me that this time its a meal deal offer?

I would be looking for a stay at a club level room (I have a list of favorites to choose from, but am open to pretty much any cl room) I'd prefer the room discount to something like a free dining offer. I will be looking to book my bounceback offer in October when I'm there next, and I will be looking at coming back in late April.
And if it is a room discount, this brings me to question 2:

2. Do you think that's time enough to get a good choice for a room for a bounceback offer? Seeing that it will be almost exactly 6 months later. Or is that leaving it very late and there won't be much left to choose from.

Typically, most bounceback offers are for a room only discount. The RO BB usually appears in the late fall/early winter, around November, for select dates the next year. These rooms start to fill up by the summer and RO BB discounted rooms become scarce. If you are able to get a RO BB for select dates in 2015 when you are there in October, then there should be plenty of availability, since only people currently staying in a WDW resort are eligible to book them.

There are free dining bounce back offers, too. Those are usually only available to guests staying in a WDW resort room in August, September and maybe Oct. I'm not exactly sure when the free dining offer goes away. The free dining BB is usually only good for select dates in August through September of the next year. So when you are there in October, the free dining BB for 2015 might be available to book. We only book RO BB's, so I'm not too clear on the beginning and end dates of these offers.

Thanks for the help. I've never done a bb offer before so I'm glad for the help & advice. I'll be there during mid October when they do have a free dining offer but its not a bounceback thing I don't think, its stay and get free dining (but it's blacked out for the particular dates I'm going to be there)

However, when I plan on going in April, it is the end of April, and easter is at the beginning of April, so I should miss the blackout dates for that, and miss spring break crowd I should think. The dates next spring are listed as being available on the information you gave for this year.

Do you think there's a chance I'll get there and they will tell me that they haven't released any offers yet for then and I will be unable to get one?

(btw I will be renting points and staying at OKW not sure if that makes a difference as to whether I am eligible for a bb)

We'll be at a WDW resort in October and have the same question. I really don't know if the room only bounce back offer for 2015 dates will be released by then. I thought that they were released in November in the past. The best thing to do is to call the bounce back phone number from your resort room to ask if there were any offers available. Even if there isn't a flyer in the room there sometimes are BB offers available.

You are eligible for a BB even if you are renting points.

I was there mid-November last year and the bounce back was a choice of the FD for August/September of this year (this offer was just ending at the end of November and had been available since the beginning of August I think), or the RO discount for select dates this year which was just starting (not sure of the exact date it started being offered but it was in November) and is still the current offer. I believe this offer is good until July 31st. So I would say most likely, in October, the offer will still be for FD, not RO. Of course Disney can change anything, so who knows!

I was hoping for room only but will keep an open mind as you say 'who knows' Also, I was planning on getting the dining plan anyway, so its a pretty good discount if I don't have to pay for that. So good points to either way.
Also, I'm assuming that if I took the FD bounceback, that it would be standard plan, and that if I wanted to pay the extra 40(roughly give or take a bit) a day I could upgrade to the deluxe plan?

Right now the free dining usually is the quick service plan for the value resorts and the regular dining plan for the mods and deluxe resorts. You could upgrade for the additional cost.

Does a BB offer have to be booked within a calendar year of your checkout date?
