Bounceback offers

I have some questions about Bounceback offers.

1. Are they offering them now with the state of things? Was wanting to book one next year
2. Is the Bounceback for the same resort you are staying or is it any resort?
3. Is it generally a room only or is it a package?
4. What is the usual discount that you get with one?
5. How do you find out about one - do you ask about it at front desk?

I am going in early Dec and am hoping to book another for early Dec next year but I have never done it before. Thanks!

Pre-COVID, my experience was:

a) There was supposed to be written material in your room about the bounceback. Sometimes it was part of a brochure. But the prior guest might have taken it, and housekeeping might not have replaced it.

b) The front desk knew nothing about bouncebacks. I went down to the front desk and spoke to someone who told me there was no bounceback offer in place. That was incorrect.

c) While you were at Disney World, you could call to ask about the current Bounceback offer. There was a time limit on booking it, but I don't remember what that was. I have two phone numbers saved on my phone for this:

I have not been back since the Pandemic started, so I don't know what's happening now.

Reports have been, no bounce backs since Disney reopened.
But it never hurts to call and ask/doublecheck.
I use the 407 939-1923 number.

Just FYI--you have to call before the end of your last resort day. I've always called from the room. After your check-out time, the bounceback would no longer be available--assuming it would even be available right now.

All of my answers assume that Disney doesn't change the way the bounceback offers used to work.
1. They aren't offering bouncebacks right now and no one knows what will happen by December.
2. The bounceback offer allows you to book any of the available resorts in the offer. You are not restricted to the one you are currently staying at.
3. Both room only and package reservations were included in the bounceback offers.
4. The discount was dependent on the resort that you were staying at. Some resorts are excluded, too. Room only offers would usually range from a 10% to 35% discount, depending on dates and resorts.
5. The front desk never knows about the bounceback, for some illogical reason. Call extension 8844 from your resort room to reach the bounceback department.

Don't know about Bouncebacks right now, but during many of my stays, I've called from the room and the rates never seemed that great, so I never booked a Bounceback.

We book them all the time because we can get discounts for resorts and dates that might not be available with a general public or annual passholder discount. And then if a better discount comes out later, we usually can apply it to our BB reservation, like we have done for our October trip.
