Bounceback offer questions?

Dh and I are going to AKL without the kids for a week in early November. We are staying with the room only discount. Our kids have a fall break every September (we went last year at that time with free dining with them) and we want to go back at that time again with them next year or the next. My questions are these.......

If you get a bounceback is it only for the deal you are currently book at while staying there? Like we are going to be room only discount, so will we get a room only discount bounceback if we get one at all?

Also, if we get any kind of bounceback will it only be for that same time next year? As in we are going Nov. this year so the bounceback will be for only Nov. next year? (So, basically my hopes of being able to book a bounceback for free dining or even a room discount for Sept next year are impossible?)

We were just at GF and the only bounceback offer I saw was a card in our room offering 30% off Deluxe rooms and 40% off DVC resort rooms...we were there on a room only discount.

Simply depends upon what deal is currently being offered, not at all upon what deal you are there on.

I can only tell you that the resort guests who stayed at a WDW resort last November '08 had a BB offer of room discounts to book their next stays in advance for these dates:

(These are expired now)
12/14/08-12/20/08, 1/4/09-1/8/09, 1/11/09-1/15/09, 1/25/09-2/12/09, 3/1/09-3/14/09, 5/31/09-6/6/09, 8/23/09-10/2/09

Of course no way to know what they'll do this year, but it gives you some hope that you will be able to book something for next September!

It's not based on what you've booked. It's a general deal for all folks staying there, not specific to you. And it's not necessarily for the same time. I went in January and had a bounceback for September-October.

We just returned from a free dining trip, and the only current bouceback offer that I found was for free dining next summer, Aug 15-Sept 30, 2010. The deadline to book is Oct 24, 2009. If you could swing a short trip before Oct 24, 2009, you could book for next Sept.
