So last weekend during Disney marathon I booked a bounce back offer while staying at WL. I am an annual passholder but bounceback offer ended up better than possible AP rate and it let us go ahead and book now vs. waiting till last minute with AP. We go 10 days every September. I got the WL villa for 5 nights in 1 bedroom for under 1900. $327 a night plus taxes. Rack rate is $4000 for the same reservation. We always do split stays. Usually WL/BC. Well after trying several times Saturday on hold with no answer and then sunday we finally got a CM on the line at checkout time on sunday(had to book before checkout). I booked the 1 bedroom at villas but had to checkout so did not check on second part of trip, but CM said that we could always add/ or remove days. My question is has anyone been able to call back and change their reservation to either add days or add another hotel as a split stay after checkout with a bounce back offer? Plan on calling and begging to either add more days at WL villas or trying to get BC for rest of stay. Has anyone had any success modifying bounce back offer or adding a split stay to it(assuming that that the resort is available).

Yes, you can add days, change the hotel, etc., with the Bounceback offer. If you wait too long, things can sell out. I was able to move to a different hotel 5 months after I made the original plans, and I've gone back and forth a few times. The last time (and I hope final time I change the thing!), they had to get another CM on the phone to help as my original BB had expired. There was no problem getting it done, just took a bit longer.

Adding days can be done as long as there's availability under the BB offer for those extra nights at your resort. Adding more nights at a different resort (split stay) isn't possible because that would be a new reservation and since BB's have to be booked while you are checked into a Disney resort, you would no longer qualify for that discount since your trip is over. With that said, it's always best to book the maximum number of days you think you will need and take nights away later on (or book a split stay at the time), than it is to try and add nights later.
