Bounce back or wait for free dining for Oct 2020?

Will be staying the first week of Feb 2020 and looking at the newest bounce back offer. Would it be best to get do the bounce back or wait for free dining? Could I book the bounce back and then cancel if free dining is better?

I believe the majority of October was blocked out for free dining this year. I would book the bounce back and you can cancel it later of you can get something better.

I would book the bounce back. There is just about a zero chance of free dining being released for October. That is a very popular month and resorts fill up fast. So the bounce back is your best chance of getting a discounted room for October.

But if you were lucky enough to have free dining offered for your dates, then you can cancel your BB and book the free dining offer.

A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. If you find a bounceback you like, book that. BBs are usually pretty good discounts by Disney standards. Then if something even better comes along before your trip, you can book that, then cancel the BB. If not, you will be glad you have the BB.

The only October dates included in the Bounceback are Oct 25-29. As a room discount, any date not included is at rack rate. If those are your dates, go ahead and book them. It’s been quite a few years since we’ve seen Free Dining in October. You can always cancel the Bounceback if a better discount comes along.

The bounce back offer currently is a room discount, which is a percentage (discount) off rack rate. Only certain dates, resorts and even rooms are eligible for the discount. You need to call the bounce back offer 4 digit number from your room phone, before, checking out of your resort.

Thank you all! We have a reservation in May and are planning on upgrading to AP so we are hoping for a room discount rather than free dining
