We just returned from AKL. In our room was the offer for 40% off a future stay if booked by checkout. We didn't act on it - and now wish we did. Has anyone had any luck getting the discount after they've returned home?

No, I don't think you can. But you know, you might not have gotten what you wanted anyway. It's not as easy as it sounds. Not everything is available and not for all dates.

offer and if it doesn't work out cancel trip before deline and get deposit

That's what we did too. But it wasn't for the resort we really wanted and I ended up getting a better deal at the one I wanted with an AP rate so I cancelled the bounceback.

Did you get the resort you wanted?

I kind of was under the stupid impression that I'd just call and get the discount at whatever I wanted.

If you call back the next day you can usually get the offer but not after that. And you may not get your first choice of resort but maybe you couldve upgraded and still saved a buttload of money at another resort...

Personally, I didn't ask. I just told them what dates I wanted and they told me what was available for those dates. I wanted September, and there were dates for the end of September, but that was this past May, so who knows.

Is this true? Thanks for the info! I had always heard you had to call from your resort room!

In order to get the bounceback you have to do it from WDW not after you get home. The expcetion to this is if you book it then & want to change resort they will let you. But to call after you get home no.

If you call guest services and say you checked out late and tried to call the day you checked out I guarantee they will let you book the bounceback

If they're doing the same bounceback offer that was in the rooms in May 2008, the dates are Aug 10-31, Sept 1-27, October 19-November 1, November 9-15, November 30-December 13.

The 40% off was for "select Disney Deluxe Villa Resort", 30% was for "select Disney Deluxe and Moderate Resort."

These are straight off the card that was in the room...it's shaped like a gold pocket watch...has the Alice In wonderland White Rabbit on it & says "pick a date before it's too late!"

I don't know if there's always a bounce back offer but since last years free dining is seems there has been one. During free dining last year, there was a bounceback for free dining this year. The timeframe was about 9 days longer than the free dining offered in the spring. After that there was a percentage off bounceback offer for specific dates through near the end of 2008.

I only recall seeing an extension number that you had to dial from your room while still at the resort and I don't remember what it was.

Just to clarify, there is a new bounceback offer for 40% off any level resort? The normal bounceback has been as a poster above stated (30% deluxe and moderate, 40% villa).
