Does Disney ever give bounce back offers to guests staying at the campground? We would like to book a trip for April 2016 at another resort while we are at Ft Wilderness this April. Thanks! :)

stobaugh6,

I have received bounce-back offers in the past (some they send via email when I am at the Fort and they are only good before I leave - which I didn't see till I got home because I'm on VACATION! Geez...)

But they were NOT for Fort campsites or even cabins but the stupid WDW resort hotels.

(the interns they have in management positions don't understand us camper/rv/trailer/tent types obviously)

I would love to take advantage of a Fort bounce-back but with the cutbacks of ANY kind on discounts I just have to cut back on the number of nights on my Fort ressie.

I was all excited a few weeks ago when we found a 30% off bounce back offer in our check in packet, until I read the small print underneath - does not include campsites!!! Why put it in the campsites check in packets then???? :confused3 o_O

We didn't even get one for the Resorts, may have taken them up on it for the wife and I, just for a week trip.

Wonder why?? Our trips overlapped - we were there maybe a few days before you! That's too bad - especially when you could have used it!
Maybe if you'd call-------never know??? pixiedust:

We didn't get squat in November when we were there.

Hadn't considered looking for a bounceback to another resort while staying at the Fort. I second Ed's Capt. Pickard.

Tiggerdad,

Jean-Luc has the right attitude but I overlooked the fact in the original post that stobaugh6 actually WANTS to stay at a different WDW resort on a bounce-back. I admit I don't understand that thought process though but that's just me.

The one thing about bounce-backs is, however, I don't recall the one's I've received being offered a year in advance which is what she's looking for. Something offered this spring might be for late summer or early fall. BB's help fill near term slack capacity and IMO a year is not near term. A year out they're still hoping folks will make a reservation at the rack rate.

1) Campsites are hardly ever discounted.
2) There is simply too much demand.
3) Why discount if you can sell all you want at full retail?
4) We put Bounce-Backs into packets to try to sell the other resort rooms - and, because we are told to do so.
5) WDW does not sell out all the hotel rooms, so an empty room sold even at a discount is "some" revenue. *
6) It should be noted that CM's can't get discounts.
. . . great discounts on cabins (up to 60% off Rack Rate)
. . . zip on sites
7) And, one would think we could get a couple of bucks off the price of a $65 golf cart.

* Don't even ask about open/vacant/unsold campsites and cabins. Those decisions are too far above my pay-grade.
