Just curious how many people take advantage of these and are they really a good deal? Thanks,

This is the first year I've been able to take advantage of one. It's likely to be the best deal we will get for the time we are going. We're getting 35% off a room at BC in mid-December.

We booked the bb last August. It was for free dining the following August. Good thing we booked it since free dining won't be offered this year until September.
Great deal for us!!! :thumbsup2

We got this one, too.:thumbsup2

We almost always book the BB. It has the same cancellation policy as any other booking. If there is even a chance we'll go, we book it. Sometimes we have to adjust the dates or cancel later, but it's nice not to have to wait and see what the next discount is.

I never received a bounce back offer. :(

If you don't see anything in your room, just call extension 8844 from your resort room (before checking out) and ask about current BB offers. :)

Need to keep in mind though that there are some periods between offers where there is no BB offer available. Watch here on the DIS before your trip - DISers usually post what they were able to get. :thumbsup2

Totally going to do that on our next trip! :)

Thanks!! We have gone April, July, August and October. Summer is best since I have a high schooler starting next year. :). Maybe if we can make it next year, I will screen print this and remember! :)

We stayed at AoA this past February and the bounceback offer was stuck in with the paperwork that they gave us rather than on a card on the table as it was in past visits.

They used to always be fd for us. We would go over Labor Day. But haven't seen it in a while. I wouldn't book 35% off, but I would book fd or something like that.

We have always booked Bounceback and we've received free dining every year we've been going. We've NEVER paid for a meal or snack in WDW :). There have been a few times the info wasn't on the nightstand so we just call. Totally worth that $200 deposit!

This!

If there's even a remote possibility that we'll want to take a trip any time during the bounceback dates, I'll book. It's absolutely risk free to book since the cancellation policy for WDW resort reservations is so liberal.

I still have to cancel my upcoming free dining reservation that I booked last year. I keep trying to figure out how I can work things so that we can use it. No, they won't allow me to give it somebody here so don't even ask. :lmao:

It's going to be tough next year when we don't get a free dining reservation just past the midpoint of August. It seems like though those dates have continued to be offered in the bounceback promotions, they're not offered to the general public.

You can bet that if we get one this year we will take advantage of it...heck I plan on inquiring about it if we don't see / hear about it.

We had never heard of it last year when we went.

A lot from reading these boards. We have done it once and it was a great deal, but we knew we would be going again around the same time. A lot of families plan yearly trips and just need that little nudge to book early. Remember, all you need to do is book and and provide a $200 deposit. Changes and cancellation can be done up to the 45 day mark.

We are going in August. If we decide while there to return summer 2014, I would have no issues dropping $200 to hold my spot and a good discount or FD.

I would book the 35% off. Run the numbers. If you booked at 35%, depending on the resort, you would save more than the cost of the dining plan. 35% off Polynesian can be well over $1K depending on the season.

Fd is great too is that is the best savings, but I would't say no to the RO discounts without checking first. Remember that FD requires booking a package, while the RO does not.

I am wondering if you receive a BB offer while staying at a mod do you have the choice of changing hotels to a delux or value, or is it only good for the mod that you stay at.
I love free dining, saves us the most money.

We used BB for our last trip and saved over $150 for the three nights at POR compared to the same dates for AP or FL Res discount rates.

Absolutely! Two summers ago we stayed at YC. I was able to price out the free dining bounceback at both values and moderates and ended up booking AoA. The following February we stayed at Poly. We booked a bounceback in a cabin (they're considered moderate). The advertisement you get in your room, if you get an ad, will likely only show your resort level but at extension 8844 they'll price out and let you book in any category.
