Hi, will be at the world 8/24 - 8/29, do you think Disney will be offering the free dinning bounce back like they did last year (2007) ? When we were at the world 8/2007 we could have put a deposit down to go this year with free dinning during the usual "free dinning season " we didn't, but wish we had, do you think Disney might do it again this summer for next year (2009)? Would be great if they did ;)

hi....

I'm not sure which thread you were talking about, so I'm gonna ask the dumb newbie question in this one and hope someone knowledgable takes pity and answers me. If when I go in August for my honeymoon, they offer me a bounceback for September of '09 and I book it as the room only (that's all the bounceback is right?), and it is the time for free dining, would that be added on later? Or do you have to book it all at once? Can you even do bounceback and free dining? I know that's only assuming they have it in 2009. I know that we will be hooked once we go for the first time. Also, we will already have 3 days of extra park passes from this trip. (having them assured we'd have to come back:rotfl:) If that causes an issue, we'd just buy new days. Help please???!!!!

For the past few years there has been a bounceback promo offered during the fall season that was for a future FD stay. It had to be booked as a package and thus include rack rate for the room and at least a one day/one park ticket for each guest. This year you could pay to upgrade to the DDxP. There are rumors that FD won't be offered again but we all have to wait and see. The BB promos besides FD have been offered pretty much throughout the year once the FD promo was finished and are room only discounts. There's no guarantee that type of BB promo will continue to be offered either. Your best bet if you don't see a flyer in your room or an "ad" on the resort TV is to call extension 8844 from your room and ask if there are any future offers for current guests. ---Kathy

dclfun....

thanks for info, and even though this is completely off topic, your dog is adorable. I just had to mention that.

I hope the rumor is wrong. I love free dining. This will be our 4th year to go on vacation with free dining. But we have never been offered a bounceback.

HI Kathy,

I thought that the bounceback with free dining promos were only for UK visitors last year. I might be incorrect but I thought the only available bouncebacks for US folks were just the room or package discounts.

I might be wrong.

Didn't I read that they only started offering the bounce back on 8/30 last year? So that people who went that first week weren't offered the promotion? I thought the date you could start booking the bounceback corresponded with the date that you could book for in 2008 (8/30)

I'm wondering too since I will be there 8/29-9/2. With Labor Day so late in 2009, if they offer the FD bounceback I wonder what the dates will be? My son doesn't start college until 8/30 next year - very late for them.

I think we will know more about FD in early August. If they offer the UK program again, I think we will see it here in the US.

I agree. The FD promo has always been offered first to UK guests so if we see it being offered again then it's likely but not gtd to be offered to US guests too. With the economy the way it is here, I'm hoping some kind of really good promos are offered to offset the rising costs of "life".---Kathy

Congrats on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon!

I'm not an expert, but I'm going to make a wild guess and say you can't add free dining to a room that was discounted by a bounceback discount. I'm thinking it's only one discount at a time, you can't piggy back them. GREAT idea though, I'd love to do it!

One of the BB discounts offered last fall WAS the FD offer. I have booked FD for the past two years with a BB offer. There was a flyer in my room and info on the resort TV. There have been other BB offers including those that came out after the BB/FD offer ended. It's been pretty consistent with being a percentage off a regular room rate. It could also be booked as a package including dining but the discount was on the room only.---Kathy

We booked bounceback while we were there in April, if you utilize the BB offer for the period of free dining, you must buy tickets to accompany the offer turning it into a package deal. We are annual passholders and called about free dining a few weeks ago, and were told we would have to buy tickets to be able to add it on.

Hope this helps.

But, you would only need to buy one day tickets. I don't know if you would come ahead on this deal though as I haven't run the numbers.

HI Kathy,

Last year I book my future stay for this coming Sept the offer was good late August to last of September. It was FD but you had to book a package. They didn't offer any discount off the room at least when we were there

As others have said, to get FD you must purchase at LEAST a one day/one park ticket. Each guest on the ressie must have the same ticket, however individual tickets can be upgraded upon arrival. If the ticket is NOT used during your stay then it will not expire. I have a 10 day ticket from two years ago, for instance, in my daughter's name that I plan to use to upgrade to an AP for her next year. If one person in the party has an AP and doesn't really want/need a ticket for this visit then everyone should buy a one/day one park ticket with the FD package. The AP holder can then save that ticket to use toward an upgrade while the other guests can decide to either upgrade to a MYW length of stay ticket or also an AP- whichever choice is the better deal for them. Time for FD booking is coming to an end though. If anyone is unsure, you can always cancel 45 days prior and a FD ressie only requires a $200 deposit. ---Kathy
