I keep hearing about Bounce Back............are they still offering it? How does it work, do you have to pay for all your trip when you book, do you put so much down? Does it always include free dining? Does it have to be for the same time frame a year later? Any help would be appreciated.

I went for a weekend trip in February, stayed at POR. They were offering it then and I took advantage of it. There were certain black-out dates and I can't remember when it started but it ran through 9/27. I booked the Poly for $236 a night 9/20 - 9/27. The down payment was the standard one night's deposit. It was room only. LOVE IT!

All you have to do is call and book before you check out.

Bounceback can mean either a discount on room only prices or a discount or free standard dining packages. I can't address the dining package.

As posted in December 2007, the 2008 bounceback dates were:

1/6 to 2/2/08
2/24 to 3/1/08
3/30 to 4/12/08
8/10 to 9/27/08

These dates applied to deluxe resorts. If rooms were available, you could book a room and receive 30 percent off the regular rate for these dates. (Deluxe Villa dates were roughly the same but the offer for them was 40% off.) The Moderates may also be included (but they were not listed on the computer.) I do not recall whether value resorts are included in the room bounceback offers.

The instructions say you must book before you checkout but modifications can be made (subject to availability) after you return home. You simply need to make the standard deposit for a room only reservation.

I always use a TA. If bounceback was offered, could I contact her during our vacation and have her book it? Would like her to reap some benefits as she is so great to work with.

When we did our bounce back in Sept 2007 you had to be on site to book as they ask what resort I was staying at. So not sure if you could use a TA. :confused3 . Mine was for free dining :goodvibes

I was about to post a question about bounceback as well. I'd appreciate it if people would add whether there is a minimum number of nights that you have to book to get the bounceback promotion.

We're going for a convention in late Sept and would like to add 1 or 2 nights onto the beginning at another resort. We'll be at Disney for a family trip in a few weeks and I was hoping to get the bounceback offer and book then.

So, is bounceback offered all the time...or most of the time?? I always thought it was just something they did in September...

They've been offering it for months, that I know of. We went to the GF at the end of Nov., booked the WL for the end of Sept. (that was as far into the year as was offered). I now hear and read that it has been extended to offer thru the end of 2008, with certain dates not available.

You do have to book the bounceback thru Disney while still at the resort. However, last September the CM asked if we were using a travel agent, and they were able to link it to her somehow so she still got the credit. Hope that made sense!:rotfl:

You have 2 options. As was mentioned, when booking, you can alert the reservationist that you use a travel agent. Have the name of your agency AND your agent.

The other option is to book as normal and transfer it into the agency when you get home. Do NOT pay in full though! Reservations that are paid in full can't be transferred.

In February I booked POFQ for a 7 night stay in August at $104 per night. We stayed for one night at the Pop Century and I took advantage of the offer once I got home that day because my flight took off at 7 am, before the ressie system opened. The CM didn't have a problem booking me at the special rate (30%).

Now I just need to figure out what to do with dining.

Apparently the dates have been extended. If there's no flyer in your room, watch the resort tips channel (the one with just text and music).

Do you know when the dates were extended? I was staying at BCV and prior to checkout called the extension number they provided this past Sunday (4/6) and asked about bounceback offer for any villas for 10-12 thru 10-17 and was told there was NO bounceback offer for that time period.

It appears those dates are blacked out.

We'll be traveling to POR May 10-17 and were hoping for a bounceback for October 15-19 (school fall break here).

:sad2:

Sorry should have been more clear--they told us the bounceback dates ended on 9-27-08---so obviously they added more dates since Sunday or else the CM gave out bad information! I did ask specifically about the week of 10-12 and if there were any discounts at all and was told no but to keep checking back. We could have flexed our dates to fit into another week in October. :(
