Boulder Ridge vs Copper Creek Villas, What Are the Differences?

I just checked and Copper Creek does have availability at that time via DVC Rental Store's confirmed reservations. These are reservations already booked by someone else who cancelled, so they're just waiting to be transferred to another customer. I love these as there is no suspense about availability. You just have to pay (in full up front, with no refund, of course). Each major DVC rental broker has a list of confirmed reservations on their website.

So many people have cancelled trips due to Covid lately that confirmed reservations in general (via DVC Rental Store, David's, etc.) are currently a great way to book trips. I've gotten other "impossible" reservations that way, such as a Hilton Head studio for this July.

Generally a confirmed booking is a booking that the renter wants to get out of. But, as you're aware, DVC rental is no cancel, no refund. So the confirmed booking is listed and the renter gets most of the money, with a bit going to the agency and a bit more to the owner for the trouble of the process.

Renter doesn't get the whole price back but recovers a lot more than if they just straight don't go and had no one else take the booking.

Sometimes they are "spec" rentals or an owner who had reserved and has decided not to go and instead of renting points they feel that what they have is appealing enough to attract a renter.

You will need a 1-Bedroom for a jet tub, not a studio. Also Copper Creek has an air tub and Boulder Ridge still has the jet tub. They have slowly removed the jet tubs and replaced with large soaker or air tubs. I really like the old jet tubs in the DVC resorts. Hoping when Boulder Ridge is refurbished next year we at least get the air tub.

Depending on your travel dates, Wilderness Lodge (the hotel side) of the resort doesn’t have an opening date until June 6 and as we have seen several times this is not set in stone. Wilderness Lodge hotel rooms have all been refurbished and will be brand new. Boulder Ridge is due for a soft goods refurbishment so it is probably showing signs of age. All 3 options share resort amenities so no difference there. I don’t think you will go wrong with any decision.

Copper Creek is and has been open. I stayed there in Dec.

I'm aware. I never stated I wanted a studio, that was other posters Thanks though. All tubs with bubble functions are the same to me.

People kept talking about studios in the replies to you. I wanted to point that out just in case. We love Wilderness Lodge and was one of our favorite locations to stay before buying DVC. You will have a great stay even in the non DVC room.

Because CCV is smaller, and the rule set by the association is that BRV will allow 5 if you BYOB, and CCV is hard limit 4.

We just stayed in a Copper Creek Studio in early December, and we've stayed in Boulder Ridge studios before. If you do a search for a map of Wilderness Lodge, it should show you an aerial view with the Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas indicated. If you go for the DVC rooms, BRV and CCV both use the same number of points, but CCV rooms fill up more quickly, so you might have better luck requesting BRV. All the amenities at Wilderness Lodge are open to all guests. CCV and BRV guests have their own pool, but you can also use the main pool. Check-in for all guests is in the main lodge. People cancel reservations all the time, so a studio could indeed become available at the last minute, and there are a lot of DVC owners who have points to rent.

Is there any indication that with the remodel of BRV next year, will they add that pull down bed under the TVs like I see in the floorplans for the GF 1BRs or the Cabins?

They have already added them to the studios. So probably not in the one bedrooms. GFV is the only WDW resort with one in the studio and one in the living room.

When they raised the price per point, they started adding the murphy bed to the studios because that's all many people would be able to reserve with the small number of points they had. In the one bedrooms, many of them didn't have the space because of connecting doors or kitchen layouts to add that murphy bed. In some of the one bedrooms (OKW, BLT and AKV) they had enough space to add the twin sized sleeper chair. So they either added a sleeping space to a studio or a one bedroom.
