The current rooms look old fashioned. I would rather they stay old fashioned than IKEA-lite like CCV.They did not mention anything about the renovation at the Annual Meeting except a vaque reference to 2022 … Way overdue and not liking the sample update in those pictures. Big Ugg does not look comfortable . And looks old fashion.Hate it !
I agree with you the coffee table does not complement the furniture around it. They are trying to tie it into the shades one the door and the rug. It doesn’t go from this pic, might look better if in the room. A nice wooden one would look better, imo. You know, the whole wilderness look.Yes, coffee table. Not sure why I called it an ottoman.

Same here. The lodge/cabin feel, for me, always reminds me of ski trips and other vacations to the Sierras. Even today, places like the Westin Monache and The Village Lodge in Mammoth have the same aesthetic. We will be at SSR in two weeks, but back at BRV in September, so I'm hoping they at least have more images of the fully remodeled rooms by then, instead of those partial views in the leaked photos.Me too. I want VWL to stay rustic and not go "modern" rustic. That look is fine but not everything needs to be the same and VWL is not CCV.
No start or end dates are announced and no updates on the web pages about work happening. They may be holding units, but it would be absolutely stupid (and thus probably likely, sigh) to still be doing work after November 1 at any section of WL.We are having trouble with BRV availability for our November stay so am wondering if the refurb will be in full swing. Any intelligence on that? Start/end dates? Might look elsewhere rather than risk being in the middle of a construction zone, but our 7 month window doesn't open till April.
They jave wrapped on Poly DVC, and are moving right along on VGF, so I would hope they start on VWL soon. Even if it is a refurb like Poly DVC got, that'd be okay, especially if VWL gets the pull down Murphy beds. Although it really is in need of a full hard goods too...but I don't know if they will do that with the time lag of getting supplies right now. They should...especially since the last refurb was basically just soft goods and decor. We will see I guess. I'd really like Murphy beds for our October visit. It feels like the focus will be renovating all of VGF first, right? The new building and the existing units? Maybe not a hard refurb on exisiting, but even soft takes resources.
They have postponed VWL twice, they have had PLENTY OF TIME to get supplies in.They jave wrapped on Poly DVC, and are moving right along on VGF, so I would hope they start on VWL soon. You would hope. I know they had issues getting the Murphy beds for Poly studios. From what I understand they have then all in now and either have or will be installing them soon. I'd hope since they seem to plan to use those in VWL that they've already ordered them. Once they start, it shouldn't take them too long since it isn't a large resort. But they need to get started. They have postponed VWL twice, they have had PLENTY OF TIME to get supplies in.
BRV is a lot smaller than PVB. So the supply should be easier to get. BRV has a possible 181 rooms while PVB has 380 rooms. So PVB needed 199 more than BRV does. You would hope. Spoiler: they probably stole the stuff intended for VWL when they moved Poly ahead of it.BRV is a lot smaller than PVB. So the supply should be easier to get. BRV has a possible 181 rooms while PVB has 380 rooms. So PVB needed 199 more than BRV does.
Better than us getting Moana headboards...Spoiler: they probably stole the stuff intended for VWL when they moved Poly ahead of it.
I was thinking more the core mechanisms. They should be fairly universal. The Moana is a skin on the structure.Better than us getting Moana headboards...
I was being facetious, but I’m sure in someone’s worst DVC nightmare, Disney has a surplus of themed cabinet bed faces for one resort, and decides they’ll figure out a way to use them at some other resort with completely different theming. LOL.I was thinking more the core mechanisms. They should be fairly universal. The Moana is a skin on the structure.
Save money on interior design, use the same one twice!I was being facetious, but I’m sure in someone’s worst DVC nightmare, Disney has a surplus of themed cabinet bed faces for one resort, and decides they’ll figure out a way to use them at some other resort with completely different theming. LOL.
I mean a carved tiki looks ALMOST like a carved totem, right????![]()
I was hoping by August, but hope is now dwindling. Still a favorite, but the Murphy bed would be wonderful, the pull-out was really bad. We usually stay in a 1BR and it was definitely in need of some love this past December. You never know....We are at BRV now and no sign of renovations right now. We did walk over to see the new rug with the red doors and the new chandelier. They should just keep the old chandeliers as they are more representative of the lodge. The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and I hope they are underway soon as we’ve been postponed since 2020. I can’t wait for the Murphy beds I have an egg crate on the pullout now and it’s bearable. Let’s get a move on Disney.
