I was able to get the Wii Disney Infinity starter pack this morning.:cool1:
Now what? :rotfl2::rotfl2:
We are saving it for a Christmas gift. (Although I am sooooo tempted to open the box and play it!!) :rolleyes1

So, what else do I need to purchase to make it fun when we open it Christmas day? I'm a little unclear about extra figures or 'worlds'..... :confused3

Thanks for your help!!

PS, I'm posting both here and in Disney for Families in hopes of some answers.

The thing to know is this--for the already-created worlds, only characters from that movie can be played. The starter pack comes with Pirates, Monsters, and Incredibles. If you want to play 2-player in those worlds, you'll need another figure from those movies.

In the Toybox mode (I think that's what it's called) where you create your own worlds, any characters from any movie can play.

Ok, so for 2 people to play in the 3 included worlds, we need the Side Kicks 3-pack. Right? ($27.99 on Amazon). If we want to play in Radiator Springs, do we just buy a Mater, or is there a pack that includes Radiator Springs?

Second, are the characters console specific? It's hard to tell on Amazon.

Thanks for your help!!

As far as I know, the Wii version only allows 1 player mode in the worlds. Two player is only available in the toybox. The toybox mode doesn't care what worlds the figures are from so you should be fine with the ones you have.

The characters will work with any console.

There was someone that said there was a way to get two-player in the worlds on the wii, but I haven't been able to find directions for that and the official site says it's not available.

That makes sense. In the 'Toybox' mode, are all the worlds available to build with, or just the ones you've purchased so far?
