I feel sick to my stomach because I bought tickets the wrong month for the Halloween party. We are going the last Sunday in October and I accidentally purchased for the last Sunday in September. I called guest services and they couldn't do anything over the phone. My only option is to wait until we get to Disney World to try exchange the tickets. I am worried that it will sell out before we get there. I called back and talked to a different person and got the same answer. I am in tears over this. :sad1:

Has anyone ever done this or fixed this before you left for your trip?

Any suggestions?

Call again. My CM was able to change the week for us (it was just one week though). If it's not sold out, I don't see why they can't do it.

I would keep calling until you find someone to help. I would be more concerned about trying to exchange tickets for a date that passed.

Missy Did you contact Tickets or just WDW in general ?

Try, I have found them to be extremely helpful in the past: Good Luck

If you have any questions regarding your order, please contact Ticketing Guest Services by emailing Ticket.Inquiries@disneyworld.com or calling 407-566-4985.

Call again. You can absolutely cancel a night and purchase another night. I've done it myself when I had to change our entire trip last year.

Just keep calling because it's a call center and someone will eventually know what you're talking about.

Call again, if you get the same answer, ask to speak to a supervisor.

You could always sell them if there is no other way. On our last trip my eldest daughter had to cancel last minute due to volleyball, so we had an extra ticket for MNSSHP. I called Disney and asked about getting a refund and it was a no go. So I went ahead and sold it on eBay. I didn't get all of the money back, but it was close. I know they say they are non-transferrable, but obviously not as the person definitely used the ticket for the party that night. Either way, good luck!

Someone on my Facebook group switched her MNSSHP ticket dates. It can be done! I know how it feels to get clueless CM's :crazy2: Keep trying to call back!

I actually have an extra one as well. I thought about selling it on ebay, but I couldn't figure out which ticket is assigned to whom? How did you know which ticket to sell?

We exchanged MNSSHP for MVMCP last year....had to change dates and changed events. Keep calling and ask for a supervisor (politely), but keep asking.

I would definitely not try to exchange a ticket that the party has already passed! If it were the other way around, maybe, but not something that has already passed.

As mentioned, call back and get a supervisor. I ended up in the hospital on the way down and we got to the parks a day late for our reservation. My daughter called and basically refused to take no for an answer on getting the reservation backed up a day.

I would do this.

1.'highly likely that day will be sold out of you wait to fix it until you arrive.
2. As the tickets you bought would be for an event a month prior, they may not exchange them even if they could.

Keep trying until you get someone to fix it now.

Good luck.

I accidentally ordered tickets for the wrong date and got them switched with no problem! spoke with an extremely helpful cast member named Jooel at ticketing services number above. Got tickets in the mail to both parties, but only correct set works! Keep trying!

I did that yesterday. They change the dates for my MMNSHP. Just call, until you find
a CM willing to help you.;)

I changed from MVMCP to MNSSHP last year. The cost was the same so no problems. I had even received the actual RFID ticket already. I do think I called the ticketing department versus the regular reservation number. Good luck!

If you don't find someone who is willing to help you, just call your CC and have them void the charge for not delivering good/service that you wanted. I would save that as a last resort as you don't want to do that too often. Once the charge is refunded just order the tickets you really want.

I wouldn't recommend doing that as it really isn't the case. Disney will just respond to the credit card dispute showing proof that they delivered the tickets that were ordered. While a mistake, it wasn't a mistake on Disney's part. Also, even if that did work most credit card companies wait for the dispute to be resolved before posting a credit, which could take 60+ days. I personally agree with the other posters and say you just keep calling until you get someone at Disney that seems to know what is going on and can help. Good luck!

That hasn't been my experience. Usually the CC (at least Chase) will refund the credit and then investigate. I've never had an investigation end up with an unfavorable outcome. It doesn't matter if it was Disney's mistake or not. The customer says it was an error and they are entitled to the product that they wanted.

As for Disney having "proof." The customer just needs to tell their CC that the product delivered wasn't what they asked for (meaning Disney is delivering the wrong date of the party). The credit card will side with the customer as they don't want to lose the customer (even if it means the CC company eats the charge).

And before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, this isn't fraud. This is legit. The CC company wants you to attempt to work it out with the merchant first which the OP has done and the merchant has been uncooperative. The customer is entitled to then call their CC and ask for a chargeback.

Not sure why they are telling you they cant do anything because yes they can. I did the Exact same thing last year , the EXACT same thing. And like you I was MORTIFIED and of course I realized I did it late at night when the call center was closed so yea no sleep for me. But anyways I called first thing the next morning and the CM changed the dates and emailed me new tickets with the correct dates. At first I was like I hope they dont want me to buy two new tickets and then refund me for the old because I didnt have the money in my account for that , but no she was very helpful and told me I was not the first person to do this and we laughed about how I got so excited about getting my tickets I went click happy and chose the wrong date. So you need to call back and find someone who knows what they are talking about. Good Luck!:thumbsup2
