bought preservation kit... what do they do?

i bought my preservation kit from David's Bridal last night. i can't wait to get my dress preserved because I want to give it to my daughter, one day when i do have one, when she gets married. i'm just wondering, what exactly do they do to preserve the gown? also, the box came with a UPS sticker on it for shipping. is the shipping already paid for? is that why it costs so much to buy this kit? i should've asked these questions last night at David's Bridal but at the time, my main concern was when i was getting the dress back. thank you guys in advance for your help.

Hey, I called David's bridal and asked...1 (888) 480-BRIDE
They told me that you put the dress in the box, put the sticker on it and call 1 (800) PICK-UPS (if it has a UPS stricker). The other alternative is to yake the dress, box, and sticker to the store and let them ship it.

I think you also will need to fill out a form as to where to ship the dress back to, but you may have done that when you got the kit.

IOW, YES it is postage paid.

My DW took her to a local cleaners that offers the service.
