So....just closed on my 100 point OKW contract through resale. For those of you tracking these things, it took 9 weeks, not bad at all.

My plan has always been to buy more points, just want to wait till next year and hopefully till the stock market settles a bit. Now I have to figure out where to buy.

I would like to get points at the Grand Californian once they come up so we have two coasts for options. We plan to travel every eighteen months so would this really be a good idea?

I know i could always combine my points to make 7 month ressies anywhere.

Yes i have lots of time to make decisions, god knows I spent months making this first one!

Would just like some opinions from you knowlegeable folks!

If I were you I would review the DVC Resorts I would most often like to stay in. You have the OKW advantage now by owning there. Are you a particular fan of any of the other resorts? If you enjoy a particular area, such as being close to the MK, or perhaps the Boardwalk?

If you feel you would book the 11 month window at Grand Californian, then by all means purchase there. We just don't know when sales will begin for that resort, however.

Stay where you think you want to buy, then, buy where you love to stay. :thumbsup2

Congrats on your new purchase. The nice think about OKW is the "bang for the buck" factor. We own at SSR and OKW - just moved my 2br 10day stay from SSR to OKW and got about 400 sq ft more room and saved myself 31 pts.

On the other hand we are staying at boardwalk coming up in a few weeks and we are so pumped to be in walking distance to EPCOT and Hollywood studios. The good and the bad with DVC is they are all awesome and variety is usally a good thing but so hard to choose where to stay :confused3
