I bought a photo printer on BF and picked up some photo paper, for some reason though on the second package of paper I bought I'm getting a 1/4 inch smear on each print on the end, what am I doing wrong? Or could it be the paper. I was thinking of bring it back to Target but I did not know if you could return paper.

no doubt i'll be wrong :teeth: but...

on my hp you can set how much ink and how fast it dries..it's in the hp director under settings, print, print settings, basics then advanced settings ...mine works well with both set a lline or two lower than the middle
also is the right paper type selected?

also sometimes once something smears i have to do a cleaning( actually haven't had this problem with the hp but constantly with my old canon) ...
maybe do a print test and see if if smears on normal paper and if it does you'll know it's not the paper. in the director under help it has a trouble shooting section, you click the plus next to "troubleshooting" and under" print troubleshooting" tells you how to do a test and how to clean the cartidges( at least on mine it does)

I hope they are not dirty after only 5 prints. I am printing directly from the camera to the printer and have not connected to my PC I guess I need to. It's the kind that only prints photos, not regular printing.

mine does a quick nozzel cleaning ( maybe not the scientific term) everytime i put in a new cartidge or switch from regular to photo ink, i think more to make sure it's not stopped up
