Bottled Water Question

I did a search and didn't find my answer so hopefully someone here can help. I'd like to bring a case of water onboard-it will be unopened, wrapped in the plastic as it is when you buy it from the store. Are you allowed to check it, provided it has the DCL luggage tag securely taped/fastened to it? I thought I had read posts where people have done that successfully. I won't want to carry it on, that much is for sure!

Thanks in advance!

If you check it in a suitcase it might make them happier...The shrink wrap COULD possibly get damaged somehow in transit and cause a raft of bottles to be loose in the luggage area...That way you could just check it as luggage. I don't think they would refuse to take it, though...They manage the sod for Cash with no fuss, and I've seen shrink-wrapped cases of cans of
formula handled just fine as checked items...

Lisa,
I have seen others bring in cases of soda so I do not see why you could not bring in the case(s) of water.

We always put our water in our largest suitcase, surrounded by shoes and such. Works out great, then we have that extra space when we leave for souveniers. Our fold up cooler is also in that same suitcase.

We did water in a suitcase (to leave room for purchased items), but the family we traveled with did the shrink wrapped option and as far as we know, everything was delivered just fine.

We had a small luggage that we just plopped a 24case water into and stuffed the empty space with one of our beach towels. Had the empty case for souvenirs on the way home. Checked it with our regular luggage.

Hi does anyone know if they sale Aquifina or Sparklettes water on the cruise.

Thanks

We always carry one bottle of water each in our carryon. We just refilled them on the ship.
The water on board is great, the ship basically has the same filtration equipment that the bottled water companies are required to use.

I guess if you are addicted to the taste of a particular bottled water, and you have to have it, then cart it on. I find most bottled waters taste like the plastic bottle to me, and Aquafina and Dasani sure have a certain "taste" to them........not my favorite waters for sure. But I umpire a lot of Little League games, mostly upper division, 13 years and older where the games go 7 innings, and often 3 hours. Our little league only buys Dasani, and while I don't care for the taste, I'll drink 3 24 ounce bottles a game on a 100 degree day, plus a bottle or 2 of Powerade.
