Is there bottled water on board the ship? Is it for a fee? I don't know if I should pick some up before and bring it on with me or if I can get some on board. We just got over a stomach flu dd's 4, 1 and I that was from some bad water we drank at a hotel so now I am nervous.....
thanks!

I am a bottled water drinker -- BUT the drinking water on the ship was very good! Now I just take a few empty spring water bottles (not as heavy in the luggage) and fill them at the deck#9 beverage station on board.
:D
Dave talks about the water process on the ship on his website under FAQ's -- www.dcltribute.com

We found the filtered (not bottled) water available at the 24-hour beverage station on Deck 9 to be very tasty, and used it to refill the water bottles we'd brought with us. DCL does sell bottled water--.5L bottles of Zephyrhills spring water-- for people going on excursions. (I thought it was interesting that the same bottles that cost $2.50 at the coffee bar at Port Canaveral were only $1.50 on the ship!) These may be available other times as well...

Hi --

We drink a lot of water and are usually pretty picky about the taste, and we had no problems at all with the water on Deck 9. We took our own bottles and filled them up as often as we needed. Also, the cooler in your room is a good place to have a bottle or two stored so you'll always have something cold to drink. If you have some kind of small insulated carrier you'll do fine even on excursions -- believe it or not, even after being out on the beach for a good portion of the day (in July!) the insulated cooler pocket of my fanny pack worked great, that bottle stayed cool until I was ready to drink it. It wasn't exactly icy cold, but it sure was better than the hot water most other people were carrying around!

Take care and happy cruising!

oh, well....ill just have to repeat what everyone else said  lol
we (= my family) only drink bottled water, and we really liked the water in the 24-hour beverage station on Deck 9 (we liked the ice even more! the ice there is very good.....). the water is cold and tastes pure.... :)

If the ship is selling Zephyrillis water stay away from it, I have had tap water that tastes better than it. I have heard the ship has a great filtration system on board and I am planning on using it.

Drank water the entire trip from the drink station on Deck 9.. it was great! No problems at all...I wouldn't bother lugging bottled water with you...bring a few empty bottles if you want, but don't bother buying any!

Thanks so much for easing my mind! It sounds like the water on deck 9 will be great and all I will need to bring will be some empty water bottles.

The water bottles onboard are $1.50 per bottle and they often come attached to a DCL logo lanyard. Beware, because the Lanyard is $2.50 extra. I saw many people buying the bottled water before their excursions thinking the laynard was included....it is not. It will cost you $3.50 for the bottle and the lanyard.

I must agree that the water at the beverage stations is some of the best we have ever had. We always drink bottled water at home but have found there is not need to lug water bottles onboard. I brought a rubbermaid chuggables bottle with me and a few long straws from Starbucks (shhhh!) to use. I kept filling with ice and water and it was great to have by the pool.
