Hi guys..

I have seen that a couple of you suggest taking your own bottled water into the parks to save on drinks costs.. A while back, I emailed Disney directly to ask them if we could take beverages/water into the park (for the kids in our family) and they said no.... Are we actually allowed to do it? If so, I'll buy them beforehand at a convenience store and keep them in our CBR fridge :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the GREAT tips xx

Yes, you can carry your own drinks into the parks...many people even carry around a small, soft-sided cooler.

Welcome to the DIS, by the way!!

we always bring bottled water with us. technically, you're not supposed to. but we've never had anyone tell us we couldn't bring our water with us upon entering the parks. :thumbsup2

Every trip we bring our own water. Never had a problem. I never even got a weird look or anything.

You won't have any issue.:thumbsup2

We always pack an extra suitcase with just bottles of water in it, then use the empty suitcase for souvenirs on the trip home.

We ordered a case of bottled water from Staples and had it sent to our resort! We packed two bottles a day, and our bags were checked every day, and no one said a thing! Well, one really hot day, one of the security guys said, "Make sure you drink these! Keep hydrated!!"

I hate carrying a clunky water bottle around with me, so I switched to asking for ice water at counter-service restaurants. Works like a charm - it's free, plus it's ice-cold! I don't carry a water bottle at all any more.

Don't forget the Koolaid singles!! Kills the taste when you refill at a water fountain.

A vote for shipping water for WDW trips
AND
just LOVE those crystal light packets to go!!!!

We also ordered water from Staples.com and had it shipped to our resort. 48 bottles for $21-sure beats the price of bottled water in the parks. :thumbsup2 Another reason for bringing our own is that we do not like the taste of the Dasini water they sell in Disney. JMHO! And we never had anyone bat an eye going through "bag check" at the parks.

Wow - thanks for all the great advice! Sure makes planning a trip for 15 family members a whole lot easier! And thanks for the kind welcomes to DIS! Don't know what I'd have done if I didn't find this site :thumbsup2

Cheers from Sunny South Africa
