botox for an 8-year old?

Wow. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. It really disturbs me to know that this is real. How disgusting is this woman? And the body waxing thing creepss me out! How does having no hair "down there" help your chances of being famous? Hmm... this mother has some SICK values. I hope she and her daughter can both get help. I would hate to see the girl at 16. :sad1:

Someone needs to get that poor child away from her disturbed-in-the-head mother ASAP.

Some people just don't deserve to be a parent. To me it sounds like Mom's trying to relive her youth through her daughter. Perhaps Mom wanted to be the famous one when she was young and is now forcing it on the daughter.

What ever the reason .....she's one fry short of a happy meal. :scared1:

In the second picture she appears to be chubby, and developing. Which is known to happen with girls who are heavier.

And her mom is no skin and bones model either. She should be focused on a healthy lifestyle of good food and excersize, to keep that wonderful youthful appearance. Rather than using drugs to do so. I wouldn't be surprised if she has more "appearance" problems down the road like eating disorders.

Her mother also appears to enjoy that "baby fat" look, round chubby cheeks. I guess it comes with the pageant look.

The fact that you are worried about nothing other then her outer appearance puts you at about the same level as the mother. :sad2: She is eight!!! Is she supposed to be stick thin? Would her appearance then be acceptable to you? The only one that needs to worry about her weight is he doctor. For a stranger on a message board to chime in with absolutely no facts about her health, eating or exercise habits is shallow and just perpetuates the the exact same thing that the mother is forcing on her. A women must be hairless, botoxed and a size 0. :headache:

I saw a similar thread yesterday and still think the bio parent is completely out of her mind. Of course if you ask a kid if they are ok with something their parents are shoving them into they will say sure, because that's the price of love, the kid knows it, the parent knows it and everyone on the outside looking in knows it which is why most people shun parents who behave this way. Just awful

On the local news last night, it was reported that CPS will be talking to the mother and child.

I don't care about her outer apperance, apart from the picture of an overmade up child with eyes that look so sad and a smile that is obviously fake.

They just said on the news that the mother is being investigated. You know what is really sad? The mom is saying the little girl asked for it. So if she asked for alcohol or cigarettes would she give her that too?? Idiot!!!!:sad2:

Well as the saying goes, everything is known to cause cancer in the Stae of California (or kill you). Who knew mothers would be on that list.

My other thought, is why isn't she putting her and herself on some sort of diet? They both could use it, if she thinks she's going to Hollywood some day. Although they don't seem to be that picky on the horrible Mexican soap operas around here. Cheap/horrible acting with cheap/horrible video shooting.

they were talking about this on the radio and that is what the general thought was...the daughter is not the typical pagent star what she hopes to get by the botox? who knows...

That attitude is not restricted to beauty pageant families. It is common amongst any family that views girl's options as severely limited by their gender and determined by their beauty.

When dd was in 3rd grade, she came home and announced that her friend "Susie" was now shaving her legs and arms. Susie was 8 years old.

A few weeks later, I met Susie's mom at a PTA function. Susie's mom had been 15 when she had Susie -- a fact she volunteered to me out of the blue. She also volunteered her opinion that my dd should start shaving because, "You have to start that upkeep now so they can hook a good guy early. I waited til I was 15 and that was too late. All the GOOD baby daddies were already taken by then. I'm not gonna let Susie be that stupid. She needs to hook her baby daddy by the end of 5th grade."

True story.

OMG for the first post and a dbl OMG for this one, crazy crazy crazy

I saw this and thought 'idiot'. It's like that Toddlers and Tiaras show, where all the mothers care about is making their daughters 'beautiful' because they aren't. An article I read says that the little girl was coached by her mother to say the things she did on TV, kind of like that balloon boy that was on TV last year...

Here's a quote from that show I remember vividly: "When my daughter was born, she was so ugly that I freaked out and thought she had Down syndrome! I was like 'oh my god, she's so ugly she can't be in pageants!'"

How would that feel, to hear your own mother tell you you aren't beautiful enough? :sad2:

I agree, she doesn't look happy at all. I'm sure there is a lot of pressure to live up to her mother's sick standards.

Glad to hear that CPS is looking into this.

She lost custody--but it isn't clear it is related to the botox. Apparently there are more serious issues about the mom not being who she claimed to be. :confused3

Girl is now in CPS care.

News reported that authorities in California took over custody of the girl, previously identified as Britney Campbell.

According to ABC News, the girl "is doing well" but did not offer further details on the ongoing investigation into the girl's mother, Kerry Campbell.
