Both the Leappads plus writing are messed up!

I ordered two leappads plus writing from Amazon and they are both messed up. It's weird.... The left hand page of all the books works fine... but the right hand page is all wrong, like a whole different page... In ALL the books... In BOTH leappads.

First I will head to the leap pad site to see if this is a known problem... then I guess I talk to amazon about a refund.

Sucks.

We bought a Disney Leapad for our dd's.

The 1st thing in the directions was to RESET the computer. (I for one don't usually read the directions 1st but glad I did this time : )

Try that & let us know if that worked.

How do you reset the computer.... There was only one sheet that came with them and that is a two sided detailed driscpictions on how to change the pencil lead..... HELP!

I believe there is a reset button on the underside of the leap pad. Just insert a pen (the pencil point will break) and it should reset it. If that doesn't work, remember that all Amazon toys are bought/shipped through Toys R Us, so just take them and your receipt to your local Toys R Us and they'll replace them for you. If not, you'll receive a credit, Toys R Us will accept returns from all it's on-line merchandise!

I dont see a reset button anywhere... all the little holes have screws in them... :::::Sigh::::: I called Leapfrog, to see if this was a 'mass' thing, and it doenst look like it. But it is freaking the two leap pads bought and shipped on different days, both have the same problem.

Leapfrog is sending me two new ones with a return label for these....

One thing about leappad- they do stand behind their products.

After DD8's leappad was about 3 years old- her wand stopped working..I called to see how to fix it or what to do- this was before they sold them in the stores. I told them how old it was etc. and they promptly shippped me out a new one with detailed instructions on how to swap them.

It is weird though that BOTH of yours are messed up! Good luck!

closet for DS-a quantum pad game. I'll wrap if for the other side of the family's Christmas exchange which is today. Sorry your pads are messed up.
When they work, they are really great! Hope the new ones come fast and
thanks again for the reminder-I was digging in the back of the closet just
a minute ago! LOL! Woke DH up.
