Hi Everyone, The last time I was at US I was a teenager! Yikes.

We are coming to Orlando the second week of January. Looking at what tickets to buy for US and IOA. Can we do both parks in two days with two 8 yr olds??? I mean, I KNOW it CAN be done but will we be rushed and most likely miss some attractions with only one day at each? Our whole family is game for all the rides but they also want to see the WWOHP. I am just trying to work our week out because we are also going to Legoland for one day along with Kennedy Space Centre for one other.

If we should get the 2 day tickets for US and IOA (through their website or Undercover Tourist say) but then get there and decide after a day that we will need two more days...will we have to pay the difference from a 2 day to a 3 day or will we all be charged for an additional day??

Any advice appreciated! Thank you.

By that time of year, the parks will have calmed down a bit crowd wise. WWoHP will still be busy but the rest of IoA and the Studios should be OK. One full day at each park should be sufficient but if you find you want more time, you can always upgrade the tickets at Guest Services and pay the difference.

I also think you will be fine. My DD is 7 and one day at each park would have been enough for all three of us to do what we wanted. Especially in January. Low crowds and depending on the weather the water rides might be something you leave out, taking those out of the equation gives you even more time.

Enjoy your trip!

We usually skip the water rides regardless because sitting/walking around in wet droopy clothes doesn't appeal to us. lol

That is great news that we can just pay the difference and upgrade to a 3 day from a 2 day if we need the extra time. Who knows, they may want to go back and ride some attractions again.

Now I just need to decide where to buy the tickets. Undercover tourist has better prices but it looks on their website that they will charge me $30 express shipping to ship to Canada. That doesn't make US tickets from their own website that much more expensive (and you get the discount book on top of that)

However, I did see another thread that someone had said that the discount book isn't really worth it.

We are a family of 4 (2kids, both 8) and are staying offsite near Ucitywalk. Does anyone think the savings booklet would benefit us much?

The savings book had some kids eat free coupons. I'll see if I can find the contents for you.

Mostly it is 10% off coupons that you would get by showing your CAA card anyways.

You say you are staying offsite near Citywalk. Citywalk is located right beside both parks int he middle of the Universal Orlando Resort and there aren't any offsite hotels there. Which hotel are you staying at? My son just stayed at the Doubletree for one night last week and ate at TGI Fridays. They had some really good deals at the restaurant.

I don't think you would need to use express shipping to get your tickets from Undercover Tourist. Regular mail will do. They used to have free shipping but took it off the website when we had the postal strike. I think it is back to normal now. Maybe you can give them a call.
