We are going to Disney in November (Thanksgiving week...arriving the Sunday before Thanksgiving and leaving the day after Thanksgiving). My son and I are both big Harry Potter fans and would like to do a day at Universal/IOA. We were thinking of doing the 1-day hopper pass so that we can do the Hogwarts Express.

Would it even be possible that week, with the expected crowds, to even enjoy both parks in one day? We won't need to do every attraction, and probably very few at Universal. Our main goal is to do all of Harry Potter and maybe a few other family oriented rides (kids will be 8 and 5).

Doable?

I think its too early to really tell. That week isn't usually very busy but crowds will increase when DA opens but its unknown how much of an increase. Personally I don't think you will be able to do much in a single day unless you also pay for Express Passes which can be quite expensive. We'll probably need to wait until after the busy summer travel season is over to get a grip on crowds.
