the husband and i are planning our belated honeymoon [only took 13 years!] and while we were originally planning on just universal studios, and then i thought about disney world as well and now i'm just trying to fit everything in lol! this is the first time we've left our kids, so we can't be gone for more than a week, including travel days.

dh is military, so we'll be using those tickets. the special military package is $269 a person for hotel and tickets for 2 days. if we just did 1 day it'd cut it down by half and cut out a day. the DW tickets are for 4 days, I figure 1 day per park.

my main reason for wanting to go to universal is HPW, the other stuff would be nice, but i'm meh about all of it.

so, after all of that, is it feasible to do both parts of HPW in 1 day? We'll be there the last week of April.

hopefully this isn't too confusing, thanks!

forgot to add! this will be a first trip to orlando for both of us, we've been to disneyland and univeral in CA {universal separately as children, DL a couple of years ago with the kids}.

When I went at the beginning of November you could do each side within a few hours. The parks were dead and the longest wait was 20 minutes. I would think the end of April wouldn't be to crowded and you will do fine.

The Spring Break crowd will be gone by the end of April and a moderate crowd level should make 2 days more time than most visitors need for both HP areas. Don’t forget that USF & IOA offer a whole lot more than HP; so there is plenty of fun and adventure waiting beyond Wizarding World and Diagon Alley.

If the military package 2 day tickets are for 1 park a day for 2 days, you will not get to ride the Hogwarts Express. A Park to Park ticket is required for access to Hogwarts Express. The 1 Day 2 Parks ticket should work well if you only care about seeing Wizarding World and Diagon Alley. Wouldn’t surprise me if you still get to experience some attractions outside of HP with a 1 day visit.

OBTW: I generally like Tue & Wed to visit with a slight nod to Wed for IOA

I think it's doable. I would start with Hogsmeade, since there are more rides and we felt it got more crowded than DA as the day went on. Do FJ first, and then the rest of the attractions will have minimal waits. Ride HE over to DA and if the stand-by at Gringotts is long, do it single rider. If you want a wand, the Ollivander's at DA does not get the back-up that the one in Hogsmeade does although they don't do the show there either. We're two adults and had success with this the week before Thanksgiving. Have fun!
