Boston to Orlando Airfare HELP!!

Planning a trip Sat-Sat 10/9/2010 to 10/16/2010 really struggling with reasonable airfare for our family of 4. Ideally we'd like to fly non stop (at least going down) for $1,000-$1,200. The way airfare are looking they are going up by the day. Any tips or tricks for finding that SCORE fare??

Are you close enough to consider Manchester (or perhaps Providence?) You can sometimes get better deals from "alternate airports". We have April vacation tickets Manchester>Tampa significantly less than anything out of Portland or Boston to Orlando.

Of course, this negates benefits of ME, but since we're at Shades of Green, we have to do our own transportation anyway.

Were going on April 26th and leaving out of Boston. We preferred Manchester but the flights were so much more. We found direct flights on Airtran (who I have never flown) with free checked bags for less than $950 for a family of 5 (all taxes, etc included). They are decent times to, leaving at 1130 am from Boston and coming home around 3:00 pm from Orlando. I think we booked through expedia (they were cheaper than Airtrans website, travelocity and priceline). Check that airline out.

Don't forget to try DirectAir (something similar) out of Worcester! We live close to Boston and always fly Providence, RI as its cheaper than Boston or Manchester!

have you tried Jetblue? I'm seeing yours dates for $119 each way. We LOVE Jetblue.

JetBlue has non-stop direct flights Bos to Mco on those days for $280 including taxes.
