Maybe we will all crash your wedding reception!!!!! :teeth: :cool1:  :rotfl2: :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

You'll have to find it first! :teeth: :teeth:

Congratulations on your wedding by the way!!!! I hope you don't pull a Jennifer Wilbank...aka Runaway Georgia bride. :rotfl: (just kidding) :teeth:

You know, if it gets anymore stressful ("Honey, we still need to buy this, and this and this) then I just might pull a Jinniger Wilbanks.

Don't know what you enjoy, but if ice cream is your thing, New England is the ice cream capital of the world, and there are lots I'd highly recommend: Christina's, Herrel's, Toscanini's, Coldstone Creamery, Emack and Bolio, maybe JP Licks. Yesterday, I had the most fabulous sweet cream ice cream with caramel, fudge, and pecans, smushed in using paddles on a marble countertop at a newly opened Coldstone Creamery... Mmmmm...

Duck tours are fun. I was amused that some neighborhoods became quack-free zones, I guess after the tour participants quacked too vigorously. Walk the freedom trail. Visit the USS Constitution or Bunker Hill.

If you like the book Make way for ducklings, you could always visit the Boston Public Garden, ride the swan boats, watch the kids sit on the duckling statues, stroll around past the state house, and into downtown.

Get a canolli and cappucino in the North End (dang it, I can't remember the place's name).

Wander around Harvard Square on a Sat night; in June, there's bound to be great people watching and performers out.

If you have a rental car, go out and visit Walden Pond. Beautiful place.

The Children's Museum is fun, as is the Museum of Science. If you are feeling more learned, you could always go to the MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) or the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Harvard has a couple dozen museums; it's neat to see the glass flower museum out there (back when botanists would model their flowers with glass, because pressed specimens didn't last, and sketches weren't enough).

Oh, and did I mention ice cream?

That should give you a start!

(I think I'm the only person responding with less than 1,000 posts. Am I still allowed to post here? I suffer from post envy...)

This is certainly going to be one smashing dis-celebrity meet. HOW on earth will I contain myself until the time comes.

Hi there Pocohontas. You are look'n good  I don't know how I'm going to contain myself either with all these DIS celebrities we are going to meet. I'm soooo excited. I can hardly wait until June. :bounce:
I just hope we can recognize all the celebrities because they might not be recognizable if they are wearing sunglasses. Celebs usually like to disguise themselves. Don't forget your camera and autograph book.

Cheers!!!! :drinking1

Or maybe I'll hitch a ride with you! :rotfl: I've never driven in Boston before and I'll get sooo lost if I try to make it myself. I'll see a group of people and think it's you all. I might end up hanging around with strangers all day! :earseek:

I drive in every day....but, I have a set route, so if we're going anywhere other than Fan Pier (that's where I park), I'm not entirely sure I can guarantee getting there. :)

I'll have to have DH do one of his "test drives" with me so I know where I'm going and where I'm parking. I'm very particular about parking...generally, if I can't find it right away, I just go home. :rotfl:

I could just have DH take the day off and chauffeur us around - this will come in handy for :drinking1 :drinking: :drinking1 :drinking: . I drive a Blazer, so I can fit at least 3 people in the back. :teeth:

I'm about 45 minutes from Boston..Maybe me and the other half can make it

Isn't that what we "would" be doing regardless...Hanging with strangers? Or are we considered one big happy family?? :confused3 :) :teeth:

We are a community, so technically since we "speak" to each other on a daily basis, I guess we would not be considered strangers. More like family we are.

Good point. :scratchin

Btw, that picture of the dog's butt is grossing me out! :rotfl:

I'm going to go the extra mile and rent this "Weiner Mobile" for all of us. We can all pile in and Tour the City in it okay???? Sound good? :teeth:

And could you please tell me where they opened this Coldstone Creamery? I could use an ice cream fix right about now.

:) At the Landmark Center (around the side where the movieplex is) near the Longwood Medical Area. Within walking distance from work for me!

There are other Coldstone Creameries, but I don't know where. Yesterday was my first trip there, and I am a convert. (And I AM an ice cream snob.) Today, I was trying to decide whether it would be bad to go there 2 days in a row... Sadly, I decided yes. :guilty: But next week...

Darn...too far for me. I'm over at Rowes Wharf. I was hoping it was in my area.

Hey, I'm at International Place. :wave2:

I park at Fan Pier though....$21./day v. $8./day....it's worth the walk!
