I have read that you cant unborrow points. I have also read that if you cancel or change a reservation then the points go back to the appropriate use year. I also have read that you can only borrow enough points to complete a reservation.

So with these 3 statements, if you cancel or change your ressie, wouldnt that be effectivly unborrowing points?

If I borrowed '05 points to use for a ressie in '04 and then I cancelled the ressie, those borrowed points remain in the '04 use year and must be used before my '05 use year begins. Those points have become '04 points.

Hrm, so if thats the case, then why does the dvcmember website say that the points would be returned to the use year? I will be calling my guide to confirm. But I figure you folks would be faster.

That statement is still correct. The use year you borrowed them into becomes their use year. ie, If you borrow 50 points from '05 for a ressie in the '04 use year and then cancel that ressie, the points are returned to the '04 use year and expire at the end of that use year.
