Borrowing Question

I should know the answer to this, but my brain is tired (just started back to teaching 3rd grade after 14 years at home). We're booked on RCL cruise in March. We're thinking we'd like to arrive a day early and stay at a WDW property. We are out of 2014 points, and our use year is April, so we would need to borrow points. If we do that and then decide not to go (or the airline tickets don't work out timing wise), do we lose the points?

If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the trip, the points will be returned to you but to the year into which you borrowed them. So you will have to use them by March 31 or they will expire.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I was hoping we could get a studio at the Grand Floridian Villas, but they're already booked that night anyway, so I think I'll wait at least until I can reserve airfare to book anything.
