This is what the dvc member site says about our points:

Currently, you may request a reservation at your Home Resort for vacations that have a check-in date on or before August 22, 2009, based upon availability.
Currently, you may request a reservation at any Disney Vacation Club Resort for vacations that have a check-in date on or before April 22, 2009, based upon availability.

Our home resort is HHI. Our use year is April. All points are used up currently and none are borrowed.
Maybe I'm confusing myself... I'm confused what August has to do with anything. Can someone explain? Also, Why does it not say April 1 instead of the 22nd?

It is simply providing you the 11 month and 7 month out date for reserving. In other words you can call today, September 22, 2008 and reserve a vacation beginning August 22, 2009, because that is date exactly 11 months away; same applies to the 7 month date given in April for other resorts. You can use points to be issued April 1, 2009 for those dates.
