Hi, am just about to sign my contract!! And am just checking and double checking everything through in my mind!!:lmao:

Can I just check something about borrowing points please?;)

Can you make a booking with points that aren't yet available to borrow, as long as when you actually travel you are within the right year??

eg - If I have a Dec use year, and want to borrow some Dec 2011 points for a holiday in say January 2011. I would want to book the holiday at 11 months out (at my home resort), but 11 months earlier would be February 2010 and therefore earlier than my borrowing 'window' - can i do that??

Plus are borrowed points ok for bookings at 11 months out at your home resort, or do they fall into the 7 month category. (ie can you only book at 11months using your current points??):confused3

Just double checking there aren't any restrictions that might make things awkward for me. (We will likely be holidaying twice in a 3 year period, which would mean banking and borrowing will play a big part in it for us!:lmao:)

Thanks ever so much!!:thumbsup2

Yes, when you call to make the reservation, MS will first figure out what UY your trip will happen.

Then they will look at your account. Since you can "pay" for a trip with banked, current, and borrowed points, they will look to see what will be available at the time of your trip.

First, they will take banked points, then current points, and then if you are short for your trip, borrow points if they are available.

So, with a Dec UY, you want to book at trip in Dec 2010. You call MS in Jan 2010.

They see you have banked 2009 points (160), all your 2010 points (160), and all your 2011 points (160). You need 400 points for that trip.

They will use all 2009, all 2010, and then "borrow" 80 from 2011 into 2010 to finish out the reservation.

Points can only be "borrowed" when you call to make a reservation that needs them so they are always available at the 11 month mark (if they are home resort points--ie: BLT points being used at BLT).

Hope this helps!!!
