I have a question about borrowing points. Our UY is september. If we want to book a trip before we receive our points for the year like in january or february would this be considered borrowing our september points? So we would not be able to borrow from the following year if we need more points then we have? Example: All of our points for 2006 would be used and we want to book a trip for january 2007. Is it considered borrowing since we don't receive any pts. for 2007 until september? So if we need extra we cannot take them from our 2008 allotment? Is this correct? I hope I haven't confused anyone. Thanks.

Your Use Year (September) runs from 9/1/06 thru 8/31/07 - so any travel during that time would use either current points from your September 2006 Use Year, banked points from your 2005 UY or borrowed points from your 2008 UY.

Unless your stay requires more points than you will have available on September 1, you will not need to borrow any points.

Reservations are based on the points that will be available at that time and the only restrictions are based on the 11 month priority for stays at your home resort. At this point, you are within 7 months for January and February and may reserve at any resort based on availability.

Enjoy!

If you take a trip in Jan 07, that would be your Sept 06 use year. You could borrow Sept 07 points, but not Sept 08 points.

That's correct. Doc's post was a typo. He meant 2007 points, not 2008.

Thanks all. That's what I needed to know.
I did understand what Doc meant as well. LoL

Sorry for any confusion!

I've gotta do a better job with the proofreading!
