We have just bought a DVC resale @ VB:cool1: we have passed ROFR and are just waiting on our final paperwork from Disney.
Here's my question, we have a October use year and we have a full 220 points coming on Oct (1st, I assume) 07. Do we have to wait to make a ressie until then or if our paperwork comes thru before then and we get into the system can we borrow 07 pts to make a ressie for Jan 08:confused:
Thanks in advance for your input

Once you're in the system, you can start making reservations.

You make reservations up to 11-months ahead (if at home resort) or 7-months ahead (all other DVC-resorts) of the vacation check-out date. It makes absolutely no difference what use year month you have.

Someone wanting a January reservation could call today, whether their use year month was February, June, October, or December. The date you call is based on the vacation dates, not the use year month. The use year month only determines which use year points are used for the vacation.

You would not actually be borrowing your Oct points to make a Jan '08 reservation. January '08 is part of your 2007 October Use Year. Oct 2007 goes Oct 1, 2007 thru Sep 30, 2008.

When you call MS, they will make the reservation using Oct 2007 UY points. It's as simple as that.

Awesome, thanks for the insight!!
Now just waiting until I can get everything wrapped up so I can call MS to book something :cool1:! Hopefully there is some availablity somewhere in Jan or early Feb.:confused3
