Hi all,

This is the scenario:

Hypothetically, I have a 50 point contract at BWV with a September use year and all points intact for 2007. I want to take a trip in October 2007 which requires 72 points. I would use 50 2007 points and 22 2008 points.

In October 2008, I want to take the same trip (same time different room) but only need 45 points. I only have 28 2008 points so I have to borrow 17 from 2009.

For my October 2009 trip, I need to borrow less to get to the 45 required.

Can I just keep borrowing and borrowing from the next use year until it evens out?

Let me know if I'm not making any sense as I'm very new to all this,
Suzy Q

Your plan is how many people use their points. Some feel you should always be in a state of borrowing.

Remember that borrowed points can't be "unborrowed."

So if you had to cancel a ressie, any borrowed points would be remain in the UY into which they had been borrowed. You would not be able to bank those borrowed points, and you would have to use them prior to the expiration of that UY or you would lose them.

That's probably the only negative to borrowing points.
