Borrowing Points and WL

I am going on Oct. I have a 2br at SSR. I own at BLT and will be borrowing points (Dec UY). If I waitlist for a 2br at OKW...cheaper points...what happens to the points since I borrowed them?

You will have to use them by November 30th. Once points are borrowed, they can not be returned.

If it were me, I don't think I would WL something that is less points unless I knew I could use those points up--of course, unless it is only a few and you don't mind losing them.

If your waitlist came through before Aug 1 (four months from the start of your new UY), you could bank current year points into your Dec 09 UY. But if the waitlist came through after July 31, you would be too late to bank your current years points into Dec 09 UY.
