Were you in Kissimmee during a hurricane or know of someone that was? I am asking because our first week will be in Kissimmee and I was wondering how the town and the condo type places handled everything for the guests.

Yes...paranoid I am...better safe than sorry. I like to know ahead of time what to expect.

We actually were in Orlando during hurricane Wilma. We were staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort and I think they did a great job.

There were constant phone voicemail messages with updates on the weather conditions and telling guests what was happening.
