OK.... Here goes -

I have four trips planned for this next use year, two already booked. The last two will require I borrow from the following use year. They will both have to be done at seven months out, though.

Now the second trip that is already booked I did go ahead and book the extra two nights (Friday and Saturday) on points. This is for an April trip so if come around January they release a decent AP rate I might cancel those two extra nights and book at a mod instead.

If I have booked the last two trips using borrowed points in both November and December, but come January I cancel two nights on that second trip would I be able to bank those points? Or no, because I had borrowed a couple months earlier to complete those other two last trips?

Does anyone understand me cause I sure don't! HELP?

If the cancelled nights free up current use year points and you are within your banking deadlines, yes you may bank the points - even though you have booked other trips using borrowed points.

The borrowed points will still expire at the end of the current use year if not used.

The banked points will expire at the end of the cuurent use year +1, if not used.

Best wishes -

Thanks! So it appears then I'm safe to keep what I have and then wait for AP rates and then decide what is best.

Yes. As long as you will still be within your banking windows. This is the key.
