Borrowing and Banking Question

Yesterday, I booked my first reservation. I tried to call Member Services to walk me through it, but there was a 75 minute wait. *sigh* It's fine, I figured it out. Except for one thing...I borrowed 8 points from 2022 UY and then reduced my days and my points were out of whack. It's fine now because I added that day back in. My question is, can you bank points that you borrow from your 2022 UY in your 2021 UY if your plan change?

I hope I asked this correctly. I'm a newbie and I'm still learning terms. Thank you!

Nope, once points are borrowed they are in the current use year and you can't bank back.

That said, if you "rebook" the reservation (go through the modification process but don't change anything) then it SHOULD re-allocate the points and use those 8 borrowed points and free up 8 from the current use year which would then be bankable. Hope that makes sense.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions. Once you borrow those 2022 points into 2021 they will stay there even if you cancel.

You can use the borrowed points towards the reservation and bank current points instead of losing the borrowed points.

Thank you so much! This is all very helpful. I appreciate all of your help!
